Heed Don’t Plead

On the spur of the moment, my mom and I decided to go grocery shopping.  Now, this was very odd as we normally don’t visit this particular store nor do we shop without planning to use coupons.  However, this trip was completely spontaneous.  Little did we know that God had something up His sleeve.

Before we left, I checked the grocery store’s website.  Not understanding why, I looked through the locations even though we knew where we were going.  So, I briefly scanned the listings, took a quick mental note, and off we went.

Upon arriving, we noticed that our location had been closed.  A little inconvenient, but thanks to God, I knew where to head next.  Now, in my mind, I was thanking God for helping me this morning when I didn’t even know I needed help.  But, here again, God had a bigger plan.

Broken CarAs we headed towards the other location, I noticed a distressed vehicle on the other side of the street.  It was literally in the middle of the road with cars flying past it.  At first, I didn’t think much about it because there was so much traffic, I thought surely someone would stop to help.  So, I kept driving.

Two blocks down, I became deeply troubled.  I just knew that I should turn around but I kept talking myself out of it. Then, I started pleading my case with God.  I reminded Him that I was heading in the opposite direction, there were more than enough cars on the other side of the street, we had already been inconvenienced, and I was wearing slip-on shoes with no traction.  However, the more I pleaded, the worse I felt.  So, I decided to quit fighting and make a u-turn.

As we came up to the distressed vehicle, I quickly realized that only one person had stopped and all the rest of the cars were racing past them.  So now, they weren’t just struggling to move the vehicle, they were fighting the traffic as well.  I hopped out of the car while mom slid into the driver’s seat.  She was doing everything in her power to stop the traffic and wave for help.  But, no one stopped.  They just kept racing by.  It was like they were oblivious to anything around them.

With the young driver trying to steer, the gentleman and I started huffing and puffing.  We were doing everything in our power to get this vehicle to move.  It was so much heavier than we thought and it didn’t want to budge.

Just then, a huge truck came behind us.  Seeing what we were trying to do, he helped mom block the traffic as we needed to go over two lanes to get the vehicle off the road.  With the shoes that I was wearing, I should have been kissing the pavement.  However, just the opposite happened.  At that exact moment we attempted to push again, it was like a legion of angels were holding us up and giving us strength of thousands.  Quite simply, it was a miracle.  Heading over two lanes, we were able to get the SUV into safety, we all waved and went on our merry ol’ way.

Angel

Feeling unspeakable joy, mom and I thanked God the whole way to the grocery store.  We knew that it was His mighty power and strength helping everyone involved and placing us all strategically to complete our part in it.

As Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”

What happened next, really threw us for another loop.  God wasn’t done yet!

As we walked through the store, we noticed that everyone was being touched by God.  People were helping each other.  People were smiling without understanding why.  You could see it on their faces.  God’s presence was filling the entire store!  Then, we started noticing that the prices were even lower than we expected and there were many in-store sales going on that we weren’t even aware of.  The sales were so incredible that we ended up walking out of the store with over $200 worth of groceries for only $74 and with no coupons.  We were shocked, we were amazed, and we kept asking how was it possible.  It didn’t make sense to our calculations but the proof was on the receipt. We were overwhelmed by God’s goodness.

So, the next time you feel God tugging your heart, HEED AND DON’T PLEAD!  With one small act of kindness, God touched many hearts that day.  His glory shined so brightly that the love and blessings were undeniable.  For you never know when God can turn your most inconvenient moments into the most amazing blessings!

Get Ready

Get ReadyDuring the winter, we tend to hibernate.  It’s a time of silence, reflection, and preparation.  It’s a time when you feel there is a huge stagnation surrounding you and you simply don’t understand why.  The only thing you could do was lean on your faith; knowing that somehow, everything was going to work out in your favor.  Worry, doubt, and uncertainty likes to creep in during the night that you just can’t seem to shake.

But, now…Spring is in the air.  Flowers are blooming, trees are budding, and you can feel the excitement in the air. Spring is such a beautiful time of the year when the Earth renews and all things seem possible. There is a newness that surrounds you.  An anticipation that brews, waiting to bust out and come alive.

God is getting ready to make a shift in your life and it is going to ROCK YOUR WORLD!  You have stood firm on His word.  You have stood on your faith.  You have kept hopeful against the odds.  And, He is getting ready to do something AWESOME in your life.

Our loving Father wasn’t silent during those winter months.  Noooooo…He saw you standing in faith; hoping that things would get better.  He saw all the seeds you were planting into your heart, family, friends, and co-workers.  He didn’t miss a thing you did, nor, was it in vain.  Our God is a God of seed, time, and harvest!

“And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting
nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap,
if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.” [Galatians 6:9]

GOD IS A GOD OF RESTORATION!

When we hold onto the restoration mentality, we allow God to restore all things that were lost in the past.  See, God wants the absolute best for every one of us and He knows exactly how to accomplish it. The best part about it is that you come out stronger, wiser, promoted, healthier and better off than ever before.

God is merciful!  He knows what we have endured, what has been lost and He also knows what dreams He has for us and how to bring them to pass.  All we need to do is have the mindset that God is all powerful, all knowing and all loving.  We need to hold onto the hope and faith; knowing that when God is in charge, all things will work out for our good.

It truly doesn’t matter what we can see in the natural. (Hebrews 11:1)  It doesn’t matter what your bank account looks like or the economy.  It simply doesn’t matter.

When God is in charge…all things are possible!  (Luke 1:37)

Wake up every morning and thank God for His restoration.  Thank Him for restoring the lost years, opportunities, relationships, finances, love, promotions, health, dreams, sound mind, passions, strength, joy, peace, and everything else in between.

There are absolutely no limitations of what God can do.  Trust and believe!  Have faith God opens doors 2that God loves you so much that He will restore all things that were lost.  He is and forever will be, our Great Restorer.

Today, I believe and declare that God is breaking all strongholds and everything is being restored that belongs to each of you. Today is a New Day!  Believe in the unseen…build your Faith….Rise Up for God’s Favor is upon you!

Your future will be much greater than your past!  Praise God that your restoration is coming!

Faith of a Mustard Seed

In today’s society, most people need to see things in order to believe in them.  But for those of us who follow Christ, we are told to believe in things unseen.  The Bible explains this point very well.  In Hebrews 11:1 “NOW FAITH is the assurance of things hoped for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality.”    So the bottom-line here is that we must have faith and trust in what we can not see; therefore, making it a reality within our lives; BELIEVING IN OUR BIG GOD and HIS PROMISES!

From my own personal experience, I can say that when I started thinking and saying things that didn’t exist in my life yet, I felt like a hypocrite.  If I was feeling sick, I would think and say…”By His Stripes I am healed (Isaiah 53:5).  Or maybe my funds were low and I would think and say, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not lack.” (Psalm 23:1)  When you begin practicing this simple tool, it does feel awkward or out of the norm.  But the truth is…this should be our NORM!

Even if you have faith of a mustard seed (Luke 17:6), God will begin transforming your dreams into reality. The more you focus on Him while being grateful for His promises, the more you will see His beautiful provisions in your life.  His blessings are all around us, every moment of every day.  Make it a point to be grateful for all the small things in your life because He will see your gratefulness and trust you with so much more.  The best thing we can do is keep our faith aligned with His word. DO NOT LOOK at your current circumstances.  LOOK AT GOD and HIS PROMISES!

Always remember that no matter how bad things might be in your life right now; be grateful and have faith in HIM because there is always light at the end of the tunnel. OUR GOD LOVES TO GIVE! Philippians 4:19 tells us that “my God shall supply all your needs”. So, have FAITH that everything will turn out for your good because HE knows what is best for you, now and forever!
