Deleting The “I” Factor

Time2Have you ever wanted to change something about yourself, only to think that it was too late? Maybe you always wanted to get your college degree, get married, lose weight, overcome an addiction, get out of debt, or start a new career; only to talk yourself out of it by saying it’s too late. I can’t do it. I’m too old. I don’t have any energy. I don’t have the time. And the list could go on and on because we all can make up a lot of excuses. Don’t we?

We are all so aware of time. Between family, friends, work, school, hobbies, sports, television shows, housework, cooking, and more…none of us ever feel like we have time to do anything other than just making it through the day. And what’s worse is we never can get all of the things done that we wanted to get done. So, the list just keeps growing. Which in turn makes you frustrated, angry and stressed out.

One of our biggest problems is that all of that is “I” related. I can’t do it. I don’t have enough energy. I don’t have the time. I can’t. Blah, blah, blah, blah, excuse, excuse, excuse…

Instead of having the “I” factor, we need the “God” factor. There is absolutely nothing too hard for God. He can help us balance our time. Heck…He created time. If we need to rethink our daily schedules to accomplish something that God has placed on our hearts…He can help us balance our lives to make it happen. He can help us get rid of the clutter so we have time to focus on the very thing He is asking us to accomplish.

The truth is…IT’S NEVER TOO LATE! All things are possible with God. If God created time than don’t you think He could multiply it in your life where you get so much done in a shorter period of time; you’ll be wondering what the heck is going on.

God is full of grace and mercy. And the best part is that it’s new every morning. (Hebrews 4:15) 

When you find yourself struggling and having the “I” factor. Take it to God. Ask Him for more time. Ask Him for another chance. Ask Him to help you. Ask Him for His wisdom. Then lay all the excuses at His feet.

Something Wonderful

Every day is a new chance. Every day you have the opportunity of seeing God’s goodness overcome the problem. He is all knowing, all powerful, and all loving. Why don’t you let Him be YOUR ALL in EVERY SITUATION TODAY.

God will never let you down and YOU WILL SUCCEED IN ALL WAYS because He who lives in you is far greater than anything that comes against you! And best of all…IT’S NEVER TOO LATE!

Seize the day and be filled with God’s Amazing Grace because something awesome is going to happen to you today!

Feeding Your Faith

Trusting the wordIn recent weeks, I wrote about the incredible Power of God and what that means. Today, we are going to take it a step further. Did you know that as a child of the Most High God, you have power within you to overcome the world and everything the world throws at you.

The Bible tells us that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. As you read the Word of God, it becomes life to your soul. You may not get an “ah ha” moment as you read it, but when something comes against you down the road, you’ll notice that a particular scripture will come to mind. You might have read it over a year ago but it will be the scripture you need, at that exact moment, to overcome whatever it is that is coming against you.

See, when you read and hear the Word of God…it builds your faith and your faith grows stronger in God. It becomes stored in your heart.

“…for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.” (I John 5:4)

Faith

When the enemy tries to attack you through sickness, fear, worry, stress, relationships, or financial problems; simply put your faith to work. Declare that by His stripes you are healed! Declare that perfect love casts out all fear! Declare that God will supply all my needs! Declare that I am a child of the Most High God and I have faith to overcome the world!

So keep reading, listening, and getting to know your Father. He is the most incredible, loving, caring, powerful parent you could ever have. And it is HE that gives you the power to overcome everything the enemy can throw at you! It is God and God alone that will see you through!

Be A Comeback Kid

DefeatEver see the movie Rocky? Rocky Balboa was a kid from the wrong side of the tracks who didn’t have much. All he knew was that he was to be a fighter. Throughout the movie, Rocky would get knocked down, bruised and busted…only to keep getting up to win the fight. He found the love of his life, Adrian. They went through so many disappointments, heartaches, pain and suffering; you wondered how in the world they kept going. Their determination, strength, and love always shined through their difficulties.

Does that sound like your life? Can you relate to that movie? I sure can. My life has been so full of disappointments, heartache, pain and suffering that I look back and wonder…how in the world did I ever keep going.

Today is the day for a declaration! Today is the day that it’s time to stop looking back and to begin looking forward!

It doesn’t matter what has happened to us in the past nor does it matter what we are going through today. What truly matters is that we FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH! (2 Timothy 4:7) Every single time you get knocked down, use it to your advantage. While you’re knocked down, get on your knees and pray. Every single time you feel lost and the pain is so intense, get on your knees and pray.

We have an incredible God who loves us. He never wanted us to go through the difficulties we’ve endured. He never wanted to see us in pain. He never wanted to see us experience heartaches. No…we have an enemy who rules this world right now and wants to kick us down so much that we simply don’t get up. Satan wants to sway you away from God. He wants you to make mistakes that have terrible consequences. He wants you to fail.

Well today we are taking a stand! NO MORE! Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly. (John 10:10) He is our source. He is all powerful. He is all love. He is our provider. He is our healer. He is more than enough to handle any battle that rages against us.

So let’s shout out together…

GET BEHIND ME SATAN BECAUSE I WON’T TAKE ANYMORE! I CHOOSE JESUS AND ALL THAT HE STANDS FOR! He is my answer! He is my strength! And my best days are ahead of me. For God so loved the world, He gave us His only son! Jesus is my brother and I need no other!

So stand up and be counted as a COMEBACK KID! For there is nothing, and I do mean nothing, that God won’t do for His children!

There is Power

A-Stunning-Creation-god-the-creator-11439510-1024-768Have you ever thought about how God could possibly take care of everything in the world, all at the same time? Think about it…if I’m praying or calling out to Him at the same time as you, how can He hear both of us at the same time? When you truly start thinking about what it must be like to be an Heavenly Father to millions, all over the world; you start grasping just how BIG He really is!

Throughout the Bible, we are given glimpses of His amazing provisions, miracles, healing, and protection. The best of best for all those who called upon Him. He didn’t care what color, race, or gender you were…He just poured out His love to all those who would believe. And if you truly believe, then the words in the Bible are pure and true. They aren’t just stories or myths, they truly happened. The more you dive into the Bible, you become to realize just how amazing God is and why Jesus came to the earth.

Whenever God spoke, things happened. He said let there be light and there was light. He said let the earth put forth vegetation; plants and fruit trees were created. He said let there be lights in the expanse of the heaven; and the sun and moon were created. After all of these things and more were made…God made man and woman. He didn’t just make them…he also blessed them. Then He took rest because He saw it was all good and approved it completely. (Genesis 1:1-28, 31)

Nothing has changed. He is, was, and will always be the same God. He never changes. Jesus purposely came to give us life, and life more abundantly. (John 10:10) No matter what you face in life, you have someone who truly cares about you and He wants to help. So today, I wanted to remind you of just how big God is. There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain that tries to hold you back. Don’t waste another moment, get to truly know Him. The more you do, the more He becomes real in your life. And, your life will never be the same. The POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS breaks every chain.
