Kicking the Habit

End of your ropeIf I asked everyone reading this message to raise their hand if they have ever tried to stop smoking, lose weight, or stop any other habit; how many of you would raise your hand? Now, how many of you would raise your hand if you tried everything possible to stop that habit, only to find yourself worse off than before?

My hand is still raised too. It’s only natural for us to try all the different products and programs on the market that is suppose to help us with kicking the habit. The only problem is that once we have tried everything and we have exhausted all of our efforts; we usually find ourselves going back to the very thing that we worked so hard to quit in the first place. Then we feel like a failure and we become so frustrated that we simply give up, thinking that it will never change.

But, I’m here to tell you there is one sure fire way to kick any habit that is creating havoc in your life and it will be the easiest thing you have ever done. Surrender!

“Are you so foolish and so senseless and so silly? Having begun [your new life spiritually] with the [Holy] Spirit, are you now reaching perfection [by dependence] on the flesh?” (Galatians 3:3)

What happens when YOU try to stop doing something on your own? You become focused on that issue. It becomes all about if I do this or if I do that. And before you know it, you’ve become consumed by the very thing you are trying to quit.

No matter what we try to do – no matter how strong your willpower – no matter how determined you are…things will not completely change unless you surrender it completely to God. Only your creator knows what is happening in your life. Only your creator knows if you have a thyroid problem, a vitamin deficiency, a health issue, or even a deeper pain that needs healing.

Without surrendering the habit to God, the Holy Spirit can not help or lead you to your specific solution. Nor would it be completely healed! Before we can enjoy any real victory, or experience any real change in our behavior, we must learn that only God can change us from the inside. Our focus needs to be on Him!

“Then does He Who supplies you with His marvelous [Holy] Spirit and works powerfully and miraculously among you do so on [the grounds of your doing] or because of your believing in and adhering to and trusting in and relying on Him?” (Galatians 3:5)

God restores health

So, what habit do you need to break? Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and help you overcome the habit. Get into the WORD and see what God says about your situation. Once you start focusing on HIM, that pesky ol’ habit will begin to fade and you may not even recognize that you’re being healed! That’s how AWESOME GOD is!

God wants you healed! He wants you successful! He wants you happy every moment of every day! Let Him take control and heal you from the inside out! You have a wonderful life ahead of you! Just keep your focus on Him and He promises to give you the best of the best! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! Today is going to be a great day!

Conquer Fear and Claim Your Blessings

Don't be afraidWhen you look around these days, everything seems to be going crazy. Terror in various places, countries on the brink of collapse, wars and rumor of wars, demonstrations, health epidemics, fires raging, volcanoes; just to name a few. It is very easy to become fearful or begin to wonder what is going to happen to you or your family.

Well…I have GREAT NEWS for you today! YOU ARE PROTECTED BY ALMIGHTY GOD!

 “Evil can’t get close to you, harm can’t get through the door. He ordered his angels to guard you wherever you go.” (Psalm 91:10-11)

When you feel overwhelmed, just claim this truth. When you feel fear creeping in, tell it to go for it has no place in your life. God has made it a point to protect you. There is absolutely no weapon that can be formed against you that God won’t handle on your behalf. God absolutely loves you and will do everything to protect you. Whether that is in your finances, your family, your business, your comings and goings…whatever “it” is that is trying to attack you…YOU ARE PROTECTED!

But does God stop there? NOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Fill our barns with great harvest, fill our fields with huge flocks; Protect us from invasion and exile – eliminate the crime in our streets.” (Psalm 144:13-14)

See, our God is so loving that He doesn’t just want to protect you from any evil…He wants to eliminate the crime and see you prosper in every area of your life. He wants you to be so blessed that you can’t help but be a blessing to someone else. He wants you blessed in the field, blessed in the city, blessed in your finances, blessed in your business, blessed in your family, blessed in your health…blessed…blessed…blessed!

God is with you (2014_03_10 01_21_18 UTC)So the next time you have a weak moment of doubt or uncertainty, claim God’s amazing truth. There is absolutely nothing that can happen to you for God is right there with you, every step of the way. He will never fail you and He will always know the best way to provide whatever it is you need; even before you know yourself. For He knows the end from the beginning.

SO WALK BOLDLY TODAY AND PRAISE HIS MIGHTY NAME! GOD IS BIG ENOUGH TO HANDLE ANYTHING THROWN YOUR WAY!

Defeat Your Giants

Shield (2014_03_10 01_21_18 UTC)All believers are being attacked right now. It appears to be more than ever before. Whether it’s in their health, finances, family relationships, friendships, employment, or a vast list of other areas, or even a combination of many; we are all battling giants right now.

But did you know that your victory is closer than you think? Do you realize that when you are close to your turnaround and God’s blessings are coming towards you…warfare heats up.

Ephesians 6:12: For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Ephesians 6:11: Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

The closer your victory gets, the worse things are going to become. The devil is going to throw everything he can against you. Everything that bothers you will intensify. Everything that can go wrong, will go wrong. It’s just his way of trying to get you to give up and fail. He doesn’t want you to see God’s blessings. He doesn’t want to hear you recite God’s word. He doesn’t want you to be successful!

Let’s make the devil angry today!

  • When things go crazy…Pray!
  • When everything is going wrong…Trust and Believe in God!
  • When circumstances are overwhelming…Speak God’s Word over them!
  • When you see no way out…Speak to your giant mountain and proclaim victory in advance!

Stand your ground!

God’s Word is final. You may not see a way, but God has a way. It may not look like you’re winning right now, but you will. There is absolutely nothing impossible with God. He can turn any situation around in a blink of any eye. So get ready…your giants have already been defeated and your life is about to become bigger and better than ever before!

Deuteronomy 20:4: For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.

YOU WIN! THE VICTORY IS YOURS!

Just hold on for you serve an AWESOME GOD!

Hope For Your Future

Magnify GodJesus’ first coming was to take believers’ sin upon himself and redeem those who would accept and believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior. Jesus loved us so much, He gave Himself for us. (Ephesians 5:2)

For those who have lost loved ones…you can have amazing hope to see them again. The Bible doesn’t describe death as the end. It does just the opposite…it speaks of those that have passed on are asleep (1 Thessalonians 4:13). Why? “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.”(1 Thessalonians 4:14).

As I had mentioned before, Jesus’ first coming was to redeem us, to take our sins upon himself. So what happens when He soon returns? “Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” (1 Thessalonians 4:17)

What an amazing passage in the Bible. We don’t have to worry about death. We don’t have to be afraid with what we see going on in the world. We don’t have to stress out about things going on in our lives. For when God’s trumpet blares, we who believe in Jesus will be caught up in the air and be with Him forever. Now that is something to shout about!

Jesus’ second coming (in the clouds) is not to redeem us from sin. He already did that. It is to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for Him. (Hebrews 9:28) How awesome is that!

For those who have been on the fence about Jesus, it is time to make a choice. Either you believe or you don’t. The choice is yours. You don’t have to change in order to accept Him. He loves you just as you are, right now. He will help you change. I urge you to make Jesus, Lord of your life. For very soon, we shall be caught up in a blink of an eye and you truly don’t want to be left behind. It will be hell on earth and I don’t wish that upon anyone.

The Hope For Your Future comes from the Lord Himself and it’s two-fold. No matter what we face on earth – God is bigger than any problem. He has the ability to help in every situation. And then, once we are caught up, there will be no more sickness and disease, no more pain in the body, no more lack of funds, no more bills to pay, no more hatred and death…NO…for those who are caught up will be walking in Heaven, walking on streets of gold with renewed bodies full of life, love, and happiness.

So what are you waiting for? Call on Jesus right now and surrender your life to Him. It is the greatest decision you will ever make!

Praise the Lord for He is good; His love endures forever! Look up and anticipate seeing Him coming in the clouds! We have the most amazing future ahead of us!
