Tis the Season to Shine Brightly

ChristmasWith all the hustle and bustle of the Christmas Season, it is easy to get lost and bogged down in all the trappings. With the emphasis of buying the right gifts, putting up decorations, and having family gatherings; there is no wonder why so many people become stressed, worried, and exhausted at this time of the year. They find themselves filled with depression, grief, and sorrow. Some may even have thoughts of suicide, from the feelings of being all alone. If they are having financial difficulties, it compounds the whole “gift giving” pressure ten-fold. So, how can we help our fellow man?

Spread the true reason for the season by sharing God’s amazing love. God has given every single one of us a unique skill or talent. Maybe you love painting, baking, couponing, music or maybe you are a talented financial wizard or organizer that gets things done. Maybe you have a bubbly personality that is infectious. Whatever your talent, God can use it in the most remarkable ways to shed a glimmer of hope upon someone else.

Proverbs 16:24 says that “pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the mind and healing to the body.” Just by a small act of kindness, saying hello with a smile, could mean the world of difference to someone battling depression. Holding a door open could show an act of kindness. You never know what kind of day that person has had or the thoughts they are thinking; you just might be their only glimpse of love.

God wants us all to shine our lights brightly towards others. We are blessed to be a blessing. It doesn’t matter how small the act is…what matters is the impact on the other side. God will always use your talents for the right person, in the Jesus people seeexact moment it is needed. God knows what that person is going through and what they desperately need. By allowing Him to use you in these small acts of kindness, He will make the most incredible impact on their lives.

Always remember that “it is more blessed to give than to receive”.  (Acts 20:13) There is absolutely nothing more rewarding than a heart filled with the excitement of knowing you touched someone today. You just might be their only glimpse of hope in a very dark world.

So, SHINE YOUR LIGHT on all those you come in contact with today. For you just might start the most amazing chain of events that impacts them so deeply; that their life will never be the same.

A Unique Time Such As This

Baseball PitcherAs I was preparing for this writing, God decided to throw a curve-ball at me.  As usual, I was planning on writing a completely different topic when God placed something else upon my heart.  This week, He wanted us to remember the very unique time we are living in and why it is so important for us to hold on tightly.

We have watched so many different things come to light lately. Every aspect of our lives have been affected. We are seeing the lies and deception from those who were supposed to be protecting us and America. We’re seeing first hand, God unveiling the ugly truth right in front of our eyes. None of us had any idea just what those in power would do to remain in power. Everyone can sense and feel there’s something amiss here.

It really made me stop to think about the Red Sea moment. It was during this time, the Israelites were filled with heavy hearts, disappointments, sadness, and doubt because as they looked at their situation, all hope seemed to be lost and the future was very uncertain.

BUT GOD was mightier than their enemies. He gave them an amazing miracle when He parted the Red Sea.

Similarly, we find ourselves in the same, unique predicament.  We have stood in faith.  Proclaimed His healing.  Believed in His word.  And nothing but adversity has come upon us.  The devil has been going out of his way to make us change course.  The devil knows that we are coming into God’s appointed time and he is trying to do everything in his power for it not to happen.  He wants you to get discouraged and give up.

I truly believe that the Spirit is getting ready for a major awakening, designed by God Himself.  The time has come for us believers to be overwhelmed with God’s goodness; thrusting us into our destinies.  We are not talking about a little trickle here.  God knows that it takes time, money, skills, opportunities, peace, health, and power to accomplish His calling.

Our God is not a God of just get by.  He is a God of more than enough.  There is absolutely no question that we are about to see God release the most amazing favor we have ever encountered.  He knows exactly what we need and how to accomplish it.  He wants us so blessed, that it makes people wonder what is going on; giving us the opportunity to use our incredible testimony to glorify God and His mighty power.

So, whatever you do…KEEP PUSHING…KEEP BELIEVING!

God is about to make all your dreams come true! For His Glory!

Happy Father’s Day

Father’s Day is very special. Not only is our Heavenly Father glorified today, but all of our earthly fathers too. They work hard providing for their families and giving guidance as needed. It’s a special day. Take a moment to celebrate and thank your Heavenly Father, your mentors, and your dad. Anyone can be a “father” but it takes a very special person to be a nurturing father who loves and cares for his children.

Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Happy Father’s Day!
