Give Thanks

happy-turkey-day_give-thanksAh, the wonderful time of Thanksgiving. Sitting around the table with family and friends. Enjoying each other’s company filled with happiness and laughter. And, we certainly can’t forget about all the turkey, trimmings and pumpkin pie. What a glorious day to enjoy each year. The wonderful aromas filling the air.

But, have you ever taken a moment to look at the word, Thanksgiving. Do you realize that it can be broken down into two words? THANKS and GIVING!

When I think of Thanksgiving…sure, I remember all the wonderful memories of the years gone by. Cooking in the kitchen, enjoying the laughter, and watching football on TV. It is an amazing time for all to be had.

Have you ever realized that it could and should be a daily occurrence? Every time we wake up, we should THANK THE LORD for a new day. We should be thankful and grateful for the amazing day He has in store for us. It doesn’t matter what our circumstances look like at the moment. He has the answers and His ways are far beyond ours…so, we should be thankful that He will provide, heal, strengthen, and guide our steps.

We should also wake up each morning and be on the lookout of GIVING to someone in need. Giving is not just financial. You can GIVE a smile. You can GIVE time. You can GIVE kindness. You can GIVE a helping hand. There are so many ways to GIVE to our fellow man without breaking the bank. We just need to keep our eyes open and be ready to move when God shows us the way. It can be something as small as opening a door for someone. The key here is not to miss a moment; for giving is a beautiful way of living. You never know what that person is going through and you just might be God’s answer to them.

Let’s take a quick glance at what the Bible says about “Thanksgiving”:

  • 1 Thessalonians 5:18  “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
  • Psalm 107:1 “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!”
  • Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
  • Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

See, every day is filled with opportunity. It can be filled with anger and depression or it can be filled with love and laughter. We all have a choice to make every time we wake up in the morning. So, from now on, how will you treat Thanksgiving? For me and my house, I will serve the Lord and continuously be thankful in all things and give wherever He leads me.

10/12/16 – Don’t Wait or It’s Too Late

God has special “appointed days” three times a year. And today (10/12/16) just happens to be the most important, the most exciting, and the most extraordinary day of our lifetimes. See God Himself made these appointed days and told us to honor them every year. But this year, we are also in Jubilee which means God has never been closer, His anointing has never been stronger and His blessing has never been greater!

“Seek the Lord while He may be found,

Call upon Him while He is near.” (Isaiah 55:6)

Today (10/12/16) is the greatest day to be a part of on God’s calendar. My last posting provided videos for you which explained the High Holy Day of Yom Kippur and it’s significance. This is the mother of Yom Kippurs. If you have not watched them, DO NOT DELAY because once today has finished, most of us will never have another Jubilee Yom Kippur in our lifetime. They only happen every 50 years. Today’s Yom Kippur follows the shemittah and the four blood moons which were God ordained and is among the most important events between the first and second coming of Jesus.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime event that releases God’s redemption, restoration and prosperity! The favor and blessing of this Jubilee year leads us directly into the Yom Kippur First Fruits offering. There has never been a time such as this and for those who have prayed for God to move in your life, this is the time to seal the most amazing year you’ll ever encounter. God promises to open the windows of Heaven to all those who heed His promptings. If you watched the videos to understand the significance and you are reading this posting right now, it is not by coincidence. You are one of the chosen by God Almighty. He has heard your prayers, your suffering, your pleas and wishes to release pure restoration in every area of your life. But you have to act now!

Don’t wait! Today is your day! If you wish to partake in this amazing time and you haven’t done so already then make sure you do not come before the Lord empty-handed. Give your absolute best and special First Fruits offering to the ministry or charitable organization of your choice. Through God’s prompting, release what is in your hand and GET READY for the most incredible year of your life! Praise the Lord to all those who God chooses to guide into this marvelous and amazing appointed time.

For we are the head and not the tail, we are above only and not below, and we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus! Let your NEW BEGINNINGS start TODAY!

Don’t Miss Your Moment

Did you know that we are in the most important season of the year? Not only is it the most important time on God’s calendar but the most important of our lifetimes because it is also a Jubilee year. Some of you may not be aware that there are 3 seasons each year that God asks us to return unto Him and He will return until us. These are not just Jewish holidays, these are God’s personal appointed times that we have been grafted into. God goes even further by saying…”we are destroyed from the lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6)

This is a time of God’s refuge, His protection. It is a time that God wants to pour out such blessings over your life that you won’t be able to contain them.

Don’t waste another moment. If you are willing to open your heart to God and return unto Him then you can expect His absolute best in the coming days! So take a moment to watch these short amazing videos below by Pastor Larry and Tiz Huch and fill yourself with God’s knowledge. Open your heart and act upon the Lord’s promptings. God is calling all of us that have eyes to see and ears to hear. Don’t forget that it’s our Heavenly Father who is our provider, healer and protector. It’s His prompting to call us back to Him. We are in an amazing season appointed by God, Himself. Don’t miss your moment.

Matthew Henry Commentary
16:1-17 The laws for the three yearly feasts are here repeated; that of the Passover, that of the Pentecost, that of Tabernacles; and the general law concerning the people’s attendance. Never should a believer forget his low estate of guilt and misery, his deliverance, and the price it cost the Redeemer; that gratitude and joy in the Lord may be mingled with sorrow for sin, and patience under the tribulations in his way to the kingdom of heaven. They must rejoice in their receivings from God, and in their returns of service and sacrifice to him; our duty must be our delight, as well as our enjoyment. If those who were under the law must rejoice before God, much more we that are under the grace of the gospel; which makes it our duty to rejoice evermore, to rejoice in the Lord always. When we rejoice in God ourselves, we should do what we can to assist others also to rejoice in him, by comforting the mourners, and supplying those who are in want. All who make God their joy, may rejoice in hope, for He is faithful that has promised. Deuteronomy 16:16 Commentaries
