Starting Out Right

As we begin the new year, I thought it was very important to be reminded of HOW AWESOME GOD IS! Without Him, we would be nothing. Without Him, there would be no hope. Without Him, we would not receive healing or restoration. So, let’s start this year out right and remember the significance of the CROSS. By placing Him first in our lives, everything else will be added!

2022 is GOING TO BE YOUR BEST YEAR YET!

Your True Identity

So many of us look at the past and think that is who we are. Do you see yourself through the eyes of betrayal, hurt, rejection, mistakes and pain? If so, you will constantly strive for approval and perfection. That’s the world’s way, not Gods!

Your past does not define you. Wherever you grew up, whatever you did or whatever happened to you is the past and that’s where it needs to stay. Once you became a Child of the Most High, all of your sins and everything that happened in the past goes away. Your true identity lies in Jesus and who He is.

Now when you start seeing Jesus and all of His beautiful attributes, the devil is going to bring up everything in the past to try and make you feel guilty, shameful, hurt, angry and everything else he can try to persuade you that you aren’t worthy. But the devil is a liar!!!

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come.” 2 Cor. 5:17

You are a new creature in Christ. His strength, power, love, kindness, freedom, holiness, and righteousness became you. You are a child of the Most High. The one and only true God! You are born again by the Holy Spirit (John 3:3-6). You are saved by grace as a gift, not because of your performance (Ephesians 2:8).

The right to your new life is a gift from God Almighty! You are the light of the world (Matt. 5:14), you will shine like stars in the sky (Philippians 2:15), you are the salt of the earth (Matt. 5:13), you are a vessel of God’s divine light (2Cor 4:6).

That is your identity. Jesus died to give us life and life more abundantly, to make us the head and not the tail, above and not below, to be more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Embrace the new you. You are royalty, an heir to the throne, and God’s loving arms are wrapped around you everywhere you go. You are an amazing person. Don’t look back, continuously look forward. God’s grace, love, power, strength, provision and healing power is upon you. Be the light in this dark world and remind the devil that he is a liar. You are special, loved and highly-favored by God Almighty.

The Hustle and Bustle

As Christmas comes closer with each passing day
Stop the shopping madness; see the season’s precious way
With all of its glitter and bright displays,
Just stop for a moment and let your heart show the way.

It’s easy to get stressed and begin to fray
Stop for a breather and remember His way
Rushing to and fro and all about
Stop for a moment to remember what it’s about.

It’s not about presents, trees or even mistletoe
It’s time to remember and forget all your woes
For in Matthew and Luke, it explains it all
The birth of our Lord the angels did call.

His name is Jesus and Emmanuel
Meaning God is with us so hear the beautiful bells
For our Lord was born on this amazing day
In a lowly ol’ manger and a very humble way.

For all to see the star was shining bright
So the wise men followed the incredible light
Filled with ecstatic joy and gifts to honor
For the Child was born for the Glory of the Father.

So, when you are spending time with your friends and family
Take a moment of pause from the intense vanity
For when you do, your heart will be overjoyed
For on this wonderful day, God gave us His Baby Boy!

No Limitations

TrustOver the past week, we have learned how to let go of the past and renew our minds.  It has been important to re-emphasize how God sees us and how we should see ourselves.  The Bible is very specific in showing us that God meets us right where we are; in the midst of our battles, our sins and seeks those who are in need of Him.

Today, we are taking it one step further.  With the beginning of a new year in sight, it is imperative that we have the proper mindset to accomplish all the things God wishes for us.  But, we tend to see only our problems, our lack and our inabilities to make things better. We tend to think that we can’t, we don’t have enough skill or money, we can’t make a difference or things are never going to change.

However, we miss the key point.  WE SERVE A HUGE GOD!  Our God created the universe from darkness. He is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, all caring and a Master Physician to boot.  So what in the world do we have to worry about?

There is absolutely nothing we can do to deserve God’s love.  He loved us before we were even born.  He created us in the womb.  He knew everything that we would face in this world and already provided the answers before they happened.  He knows what will happen today, tomorrow and in the future.  So, let go of all the things that are holding you back.  Let go of anything that no longer serves you.  God knows what you need, when you need it and how to get it to you!  Trust and believe in Him.  He has you covered!  Period!  There are no “if’s”, “ands”, or “buts” about it!

I don’t know about you but I want 2022 to be the most AMAZING YEAR that I ever could encounter.  And, in order to doButterfly transformation that, we need to be in the right mindset…

THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO LIMITATIONS WITH GOD!

HE IS ALL WE NEED!  See Him for who He is and know that He will bring the most wonderful year to you! There is absolutely nothing impossible to Him so quit stressing and learn to be FREE in God’s loving hands! He is the potter and will mold your life into something more incredible than you ever dreamed.  So, what are you waiting for?  Let go and allow GOD TO BE GOD!
