The Dreaded Doubt

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to doubt? When things are going crazy around you and life seems to be throwing
you a lot of lemons, we tend to think things will never get any better. We begin to think that life isn’t fair and we can never get out of these lousy circumstances.

This is something I have personally struggled with in the past. I had found myself experiencing a very long period of not enough and life just kept spiraling downward without any reprieve in sight. So, it became easier to think that life wasn’t going to get any better. I started to believe I was a failure and that is when depression set in…all from the doubts that kept creeping into my mind.

During this entire time, God kept trying to get my attention. I would be channel surfing on the TV and would end up watching a sermon about faith. Or, I would grab for a book and it would be all about His Grace, His Love, His Favor. But in my stinkin’ thinkin’…I would constantly tell myself, that is great for those giving the testimonies but God won’t do it for me.

BUT, that is where I was wrong. God is not a respecter of persons. (Acts 10:34) What He will do for one, He will do for all. There is absolutely nothing too big or too small for God to handle. My problem was I kept thinking and doubting that it would happen for me.

When we doubt, we stop having faith and hope. It stunts our growth. We begin the downward spiral that seems to never end. Yet, this doesn’t have to be. Doubt should never be an option for those who believe in Him! The more we look at our terrible circumstances, the more doubt will continue to creep into our lives and we start losing the very essence of who we are in Christ.

On the cross, Christ conquered all sickness, all poverty, all failures and gave us the greatest gift known to man…HIMSELF! By believing that Christ is our Lord and Savior, doubt has no place in our lives. We become more than conquerors! (Romans 8:37) We are the head and not the tail. (Deuteronomy 28:13) We are successful and have more than enough to spare and share!

When you start believing in His promises and allowing your FAITH to grow… doubt will diminish and you will begin to see your life turnaround. God has perfect timing and has ways to make our lives better than ever before.

So, LOOK UP and trust in Him…for our lives will be BIGGER, BETTER and FULL OF GOD’S AMAZING GRACE. Nothing will defeat us because we are in HIS HANDS and HE WILL NEVER LEAVE OR FORSAKE US!  

WE ARE VICTORIOUS!

THINK IT…SAY IT…BELIEVE IT!

The “I CAN’T” Syndrome

Everyday people are tormenting themselves by thinking…

I Can’t change
I Can’t believe
I Can’t get over this sickness
I Can’t go on
I Can’t forgive
I Can’t pay my bills
I Can’t get a job and so on

What we must realize is that this mentality and attitude sets you up to fail, to quit, and to live a negative, defeated life. It is a very poisonous mindset that we must overcome in order to see victory within our lives.

The Bible has so many wonderful scriptures that deal with this mindset. When you start thinking “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13) or “You will give me victory over my enemies…“ (Psalm 44:7-8); you will begin to notice changes in your life.

The most important thing we can do, is stand firm in His word and have faith that he will change our circumstances. For in Ephesians 3:20 it says “He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond all we can ask or think“. So why in the world we would allow the dreaded “I Can’t” Syndrome rule in our lives? “I Can’t” should not be in our vocabulary. It doesn’t belong in our lives.

We serve a HUGE GOD and he wants us to have more than enough to spare and share. Why do you think one of God’s names in the Bible is El Shaddai?  It means more than enough! I don’t think that would be a coincidence, do you?

To overcome this negative mindset, the absolute best thing we could ever do is set our eyes on Him and speak words of victory. “For my God shall supply ALL my needs according to His riches.” (Philippians 4:19) God has you covered, no matter what the circumstance looks like.

You are VICTORIOUS and a CONQUEROR through Christ!

So, Stand Up and Shake It Off

In Your Weakest Moments

Ever find yourself burnt out, stressed out and just not sure what is happening in your life? Ever felt like the weight of the world is upon your shoulders and you have no clue what to do?

There are times that it seems like we hit every brick wall imaginable. There are times that seem like nothing is going right and we become so worried, stressed and plain ol’ worn out. We tend to try and fix things ourselves, just to realize that nothing is working.

The one thing we can always be certain of is that God can be mysterious and unpredictable. We don’t always understand why things are taking so long or why things don’t seem to be going our way – it drains the very strength and life out of us. Making us feel weak, clueless and insecure along the way.

BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS…GOD SHINES THE GREATEST WHEN WE ARE AT OUR WEAKEST!

II Corinthians 12:9:  “But He said to me, My grace is enough for you; for My strength and power are made perfect and show themselves most effective in your weakness.  Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ may rest upon me!”

When we feel like we don’t have the strength to go on and we want to give up; the best thing we can do is:  STOP – DROP – THANK

Fall to your knees and tell God that you can’t do it!  Tell Him you can’t go on! Tell Him that you don’t have any more strength! In other words, TELL HIM EVERYTHING and don’t forget to THANK HIM FOR HIS ANSWERS! Then, just let it all go and watch Him do the rest!

God knows what is best. He knows the perfect timing for the amazing “thing” to happen in your life; catapulting you to greater heights. His best is far beyond what we ever can imagine for ourselves. Let Him raise you up and strengthen you – FOR HE IS GOD AND NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM!

Stop Stressing and Start Reciting

Many people struggle with stress and worry.

  • Maybe your child is heading in the wrong direction.
  • Maybe you received a bad report from your doctor.
  • Maybe you are having financial problems.
  • Maybe you have too many things to accomplish and not enough time.
  • Maybe you have experienced a major upset in your life recently.
  • Maybe you are in a difficult relationship.
  • Maybe you are battling depression.

Whatever situation you find yourself, worry and stress are very destructive.  When you over analyze or over think things, you become consumed by them. You eat, drink and live that particular situation until you simply can’t function correctly and you become irrational. That is a sure fire way for the devil to create chaos in your life. His ultimate goal is to keep you in the crazy mess and destroy you. (John 10:10)

FaithHowever, it doesn’t have to be that way. “Life and death are in the power of the tongue.” (Proverbs 18:21) You can create an environment that makes the devil so frustrated that he just has to flee from you! So, don’t let the devil create any more chaos in your life.

As a child of the most High God, you have the most powerful, the most loving, the most caring, and the most willing Father ever on your side! You have the power…use it!

Start reciting God’s word today and watch His almighty power come to the rescue!

No man has ever seen, heard or even imagined the wonderful thing God has in store for those who love the Lord. (1 Corinthians 2:9)
