Your True Identity

So many of us look at the past and think that is who we are. Do you see yourself through the eyes of betrayal, hurt, rejection, mistakes and pain? If so, you will constantly strive for approval and perfection. That’s the world’s way, not Gods!

Your past does not define you. Wherever you grew up, whatever you did or whatever happened to you is the past and that’s where it needs to stay. Once you became a Child of the Most High, all of your sins and everything that happened in the past goes away. Your true identity lies in Jesus and who He is.

Now when you start seeing Jesus and all of His beautiful attributes, the devil is going to bring up everything in the past to try and make you feel guilty, shameful, hurt, angry and everything else he can try to persuade you that you aren’t worthy. But the devil is a liar!!!

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come.” 2 Cor. 5:17

You are a new creature in Christ. His strength, power, love, kindness, freedom, holiness, and righteousness became you. You are a child of the Most High. The one and only true God! You are born again by the Holy Spirit (John 3:3-6). You are saved by grace as a gift, not because of your performance (Ephesians 2:8).

The right to your new life is a gift from God Almighty! You are the light of the world (Matt. 5:14), you will shine like stars in the sky (Philippians 2:15), you are the salt of the earth (Matt. 5:13), you are a vessel of God’s divine light (2Cor 4:6).

That is your identity. Jesus died to give us life and life more abundantly, to make us the head and not the tail, above and not below, to be more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Embrace the new you. You are royalty, an heir to the throne, and God’s loving arms are wrapped around you everywhere you go. You are an amazing person. Don’t look back, continuously look forward. God’s grace, love, power, strength, provision and healing power is upon you. Be the light in this dark world and remind the devil that he is a liar. You are special, loved and highly-favored by God Almighty.

Smack Em’ Down

Every day we are bombarded with thoughts. They can be either positive or negative. When we find ourselves drained of energy or circling the same issues over and over again, we are focusing on the wrong side of the equation and leaving God out of it.

We live in a fallen world tainted by sin, lust, evil, sickness, disease, anger and greed. The world wants what others have. They want their cake and eat it too. And many are willing to do whatever it takes to acquire success or fame.

Those of us in Christ need to focus on Him and Him alone. He is always with us whether we see Him or not. He is always fighting our battles even when we don’t see the circumstances change. When we get anxious or fearful it’s usually because our focus is on our wants and needs; on future things. But today is a gift. A gift from our Heavenly Father. It’s a day where we get to worship Him while unwrapping the day He’s giving us. Each day we get to see it unfold into something new.

See Him in every situation and every moment. It might be a bird, a song, a smile, a person or an unexpected present. Whatever God places into your life today, see the little things in a new light. His light!

Be focused today. Smack down the negative thoughts and keep your focus on Him. He has an amazing future for you and each day that unfolds will become more amazing when you see the little gifts along the way. He has you covered and you’re never alone. He will fulfill all your needs and desires. Keep believing and you will become all God wishes you to become, in His perfect way and His perfect timing!

Grab Your Destiny Today

settle-for-less-smallerHave you had someone walk out of your life? Did someone do something wrong towards you? Did someone say bad things about you? Did your husband or wife leave you unexpectedly? Did a promotion go to someone less qualified than you?

Whatever you may have endured so far in your life is not where you need to stay. Your past doesn’t define you nor does what others say about you!

Stop and think for a moment…Who do you spend most of your time with? Are they negative, bitter, or even gossipers? Do they bring you down or lift you up? Are you happy at your place of employment? Do you feel like you’re too old to make a change now? Do you feel like there has to be more to life than this?

It’s time to let go of mediocrity! What we may see as a tragedy, a loss, or a devastation might just be God closing a door that needed to be closed. God may be trying to propel you into a whole new level but there are things that need to be sifted out of your life before they can come to pass. You may have endured a long period of loneliness. You may have endured a long bout of sadness. You may have endured terrible things. But one of the best things you can do is QUIT watering the weeds or feeding the hurt, the discouragement, the anger, the bitterness, or the sadness. Let God close those doors and be done with it!

What’s your assignment? What’s your destiny? What incredible opportunities lie ahead for you? What is in store for you and your family? When will you meet that special person to spend the rest of your life with? When will you find those incredible friends you desperately yearn for? When will your disease, sickness, or addictions be healed?

Don’t let your past hold you down any further, be willing to break out of your old history box, start taking yourself out of the negative environments and start being selective with who you spend time with. Let God bring you restoration and victory because He promises to give you double for your trouble. Let Him be your destiny maker. He will open the doors you need opened. He will restore all that has been lost. He will bring people into your life that lift you up. He will bring the opportunities your way.

Get out of your comfort zone and don’t accept mediocrity any longer. Start feeding your faith and take bold steps today! There are seeds of greatness within you, filled with favor and grace. Feed your hope, feed your faith, feed your destiny. Get energized and see the new opportunities open suddenly in your life that propel you higher than ever before. One small touch is all it takes and you’ll find yourself happier and more fulfilled than you have ever dreamed.

Become a destiny dreamer today and watch your life transform in the most amazing ways!

Expect The Best

positive1James 1:6: “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.”

During a recent conversation, someone mentioned the old classic saying “expect the worst and hope for the best”. Do you ever find yourself thinking that way too?

Now I completely understand why people like to use this phrase because it helps them make sure they have numerous plans if something starts faltering in unexpected ways. But I still really dislike the statement because I feel it goes against everything us Christians stand for and really places us out of God’s alignment. Here’s why…

When you’re planning for the worse to happen, it places you in a very difficult situation. Planning contingencies is going to make your faith waver because you have already put it in your mind that something is going to go wrong. Expectation is a form of your faith. So by placing the thought that something is going to go haywire or terribly wrong, then that is exactly what’s going to happen and you’ll put more time and effort into making backup plans than holding on to God’s word that everything will work out by His love and grace.

Fear and doubt will always creep in when you are believing for something amazing to happen in your life. You will have to choose if you will allow the fear and doubt to mull through your mind or to believe that God wants the best for you and He will make it happen.

There’s never a day that goes by when some fleck of doubt won’t try to bombard your thoughts. There’s never a day that goes by when fear won’t try to take hold. Don’t let it toss you like a wave of the sea. Instead, rebuke the fear and doubt and put it in it’s rightful place…in Jesus’ hands. That’s why we are told that no weapon formed against us will prosper. (Isaiah 54:17)

Don’t let the enemy get the best of you. Keep standing on God’s word. Keep holding onto your faith. For when you do, God’s supernatural will touch your natural and only good things will happen for you and your family. Don’t let another day go by before you learn to hold to the truth and let it set you free! God is always ready, willing, and able. Let Him be your source and know that everything will be alright!

Romans 15:13: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
