Free Indeed

ProblemsWhen you think of bondage, what comes to mind? Maybe guilt, condemnation, poverty, sickness and disease, shame, temptations or addictions. There are many things that can be considered bondage. You might be fighting negative thoughts. You might be fighting depression. You might be fighting to pay your bills. Anything that comes against you where you are not living a full and peaceful life would be considered bondage.

There is one person who laid down his life for us so that we could be free from every yoke, every bondage, and every sickness.

“…When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. ~ John 19:30

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” ~ Galatians 5:1

Through Jesus’ finished work at the cross, He freely gave us peace, love, forgiveness, health, finances, and all the wonderful things that come from our Heavenly Father. It’s important not to forget the amazing sacrifice Jesus did for each of us individually. It is His ultimate sacrifice that makes it all possible.

For who the son sets free is free indeed! ~ John 8:36

Celebrate this glorious season of Easter/Resurrection Sunday seeing Jesus’ sacrifice as the greatest gift ever given! Let His finished works break the chains of bondage and be replaced with peace, love, prosperity, restoration, forgiveness, vitality and wholeness…today and everyday!

Impossibilities Made Possible

Do you recall the story of Job in the Bible? He had everything. A wonderful wife, children, health, family, support of friends, and wealth. He was the head and not the tail, the lender not the borrower, a leader that was looked to for wisdom and knowledge. He was respected by his community. He was a righteous man that stood with God who was blameless and upright.

“But one day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan (the adversary and accuser) also came among them. And the Lord said to Satan, From where did you come? Then Satan answered the Lord, From going to and from on the earth and from walking up and down on it. And the Lord said to Satan, Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who [reverently] fears God and abstains from and shuns evil [because it is wrong]? Then Satan answered the Lord, Does Job [reverently] fear God for nothing? Have You not put a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have conferred prosperity and happiness upon him in the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But put forth Your hand now and touch all that he has, and he will curse You to Your face. And the Lord said to Satan, Behold all that he has is in your power, only upon the man himself put not forth the hand. So Satan went forth from the present of the Lord.” (Job 1:6-12)

Then all of a sudden, Job found himself losing everything. Satan stole all of Job’s oxen and donkeys, slayed his servants, burned the sheep and servants attending the sheep, raided his camels and slayed those servants attending his camels and killed all of his children too. To make things even worse, his wife cursed Job and told him to die and his loyal friends came to console him while accusing him of wrongdoing. Just when you think it couldn’t get worse for Job, it did. Satan smote Job with loathsome and painful sores from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head. (Job 2:7) Everything was gone in a day.

As you read Job, he goes through the various emotions that we would all feel; anger, pain, sadness, depression, weakness, and the feelings of being lost. He even gets to the point of wondering why he was even born and that it would have been better if he had never lived. He started wondering why his so-called loyal friends turned against him in his desperate need of their comfort.

By this time, most people would have started cursing the Lord and directing their pain and anger towards Him. They would have started questioning everything they know about the Lord and wondered what did they do wrong to deserve all of this excruciating pain. The “Why God Why” syndrome. However Job did just the opposite and said “Shall we accept [only] good at the hand of God and shall we not accept [also] misfortune…? (Job 2:9-10) Verse 10 actually continues to say Job did not sin with his lips. That’s an amazing statement when all chaos surrounded him.

We have an adversary. One who is trying to kill and destroy us. (John 10:10) One who is trying to make us give up and curse the Lord for our misfortunes.

What has Satan done to you lately? Have you found yourself losing your possessions, your health, your friends and family, your employment, or anything else that means something to you?

Don’t give up. Don’t let go of God. Don’t let Satan rob you of your Heavenly Father! Because you can be like Job in whatever circumstance you find yourself in. Keep talking and giving your cares, pain, suffering, and anger to God. He will fill you with strength, courage, and wisdom. Job kept his faith strong and found that it wasn’t the end for him. He repented for the things he said during his grief and even forgave his misguided friends. By standing with God through it all, he found himself restored far greater than he was originally. God rewarded him double for his trouble. (Job 42:10-13)

Today I wish to encourage you to keep standing and believing that God is working everything out for your good and He still has a good plan for your life. He will make the impossibles possible. There is nothing Satan can do to you that God won’t work out for your benefit. Let go of the pain, suffering, anger, hatred, sadness, and lack; and let God be your strength. For you may look defeated right now, but you will end up with double for your trouble. God says it, so it will be done!

Unity & Love

divided-kingdom_ropeWith so many denominations, so many do’s and don’ts, and so many that believe you must wear this or that…it is important to understand the Bible and forego man-made legalism.

Now I know this is a touchy topic, however legalism has become rampant in today’s churches and is turning away those who need Jesus the most. We are to love our brothers and sisters in Christ, not argue and fight with one another because you do this or I do that.

Mark 3:24 “If a kingdom is divided against itself, it cannot stand.”

For all of us who love Christ, believe that the Bible is the final Word, and that Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly; than it is of the utmost importance for each of us to be the salt and light of this world. It’s not about what you wear, what you eat, when you pray, what you pray…it is about a deep-loving relationship with our Heavenly Father and accepting Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice to give us the opportunity of being grafted into His amazing love.

We may agree to disagree on some things, but the fundamental root of all Christianity is what’s most important…JESUS! Don’t let the pettiness of man-made legalism hinder people the chance of coming to Christ. God is able to modify anything about a person that HE deems necessary. Let those around you see love and not gossip, truth and not legalism, a helping hand and not a beating down. God is love and for all of us who want to make a difference in these last days, let that LOVE shine through all that you do and welcome those that look different or do different things than you.

This week I’m sharing a funny and remarkable teaching from New Beginnings Church in Texas. Pastor Larry does a fantastic job discussing this very topic and it gives me great pleasure to share it with you. Let Pastor Larry’s sermon enlighten, bolden, and give you the tools you need in order to shine brightly this season. Don’t let church legalism stand in your way any longer. Become who you need to be and become God’s great warrior, loving all those whom you come in contact with. The sermon can be found at https://larryhuchministries.com/archive. It is the Sunday First Service March 5, 2017 Service

Make a difference today and let your love shine!

It’s Time

analog-clock-faceWe are coming into an amazing timeframe on God’s calendar. In March, Purim is celebrated. It’s a time where God was never even mentioned in the Book of Esther. Yet it’s filled with many nuggets of great encouragement, preparation, and sudden transformation. It appeared God was silent and was preparing Esther for something great, even though she had no idea what was going to happen.

The Jews were about to be killed as evil appeared to be winning. The whole Jewish nation hung on Esther’s shoulders. She had no idea what to do. She had no idea God called her for this specific time to save an entire nation. It was a very difficult time filled with hostility, uncertainty, and evil.

Esther should not have even been a candidate under the natural circumstances of that time. She was an orphan and a Jew. People like her would have been looked down upon, not given the opportunity of being a queen.

It appeared all was lost. There was no hope left. God was silent. And yet against all odds, Esther was willing to go against protocols with the possibility of death. She was willing to lay her life on the line while holding onto her faith. She was willing to believe God was working behind the scenes even though she couldn’t see or feel it.

Because she was willing to do what it took and was willing to step out in faith, she found favor with God. He supernaturally worked in her life. She ended up saving a nation, being queen, and found deep love with her king. Not to mention that she now had her “more than enough” as queen. Her turnaround came. Her life was suddenly changed. She was given supernatural favor. Favor with her people, with the King, and in life as a whole.

The book of Esther is a very short book in the Bible but is filled with such supernatural wonder, that it’s definitely worth the read. It will give you amazing encouragement through the trials of your own life.

My question for you today is…What has God called you to do? Do you find yourself wondering how to turn things around? Have you found yourself in an impossible situation?

You may not know what God has called you for. You may not understand why the difficulties are happening. You may not understand why God seems silent. You may feel like you’re only one person and wondering how you could possibly make a difference. But if you stay in faith and continue to prepare yourself during this amazing season, God will supernaturally intervene. He knows what you need and when to make it happen. He knows what He called you to do and how to make it come to pass. Be strong and courageous like Esther…and SEE WHAT GOD WILL DO! It will be far greater than you could ever imagine! When God’s supernatural touches your circumstances, everything will fall into place and be more incredible than you ever dreamed.

This is a time for great preparation, sudden favor, and your complete turnaround. Read the Book of Esther and understand what time it is. Even though things might look bleak or you have no idea what to do or you don’t have the funds to make things happen…cry out to God even though He may be silent. One small touch is all it takes. It’s time to hold fast to His word and know that it will not return void. Your sudden turnaround is here. Grab hold and let God be God. His perfect timing is upon you. You’re not enough is about to become more than enough! Look up for your new beginnings are here!
