Jehovah Jireh ~ Lord My Provider

battle_fight_cartoonHave you been brought to your knees with nowhere to go? Have you found yourself fighting a battle that seems to only intensify? Are you drowning in debt with no relief in sight? Have you lost loved ones unexpectedly? Have things in your life continued to spiral downward and you find yourself at the bottom of a pit?

What are you battling today? What is missing in your life? What illness, loss, addiction are you fighting? What has a hold on you?

Satan came to steal, kill and destroy us. He will do everything in his power to stop God’s plan for your life. Whether he steals your job, home, car, relationships or destroys those around us with sickness, addictions and disease. He has one purpose and one purpose only…and that is to sway you away from your faith by constantly bombarding your life with difficulties and tragedies; making you wonder where God is or why God would allow such things to happen.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say only good things happen to those who love the Lord. It actually says just the opposite…

…Luke 6:21 “Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh. 22“Blessed are you when men hate you, and ostracize you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man. 23 “Be glad in that day and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven.”

Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly. (John 10:10) He wants the absolutely best for you and your loved ones. Jesus took our sinful place on the cross so that believing in Him, we are made righteous and right-standing with our Heavenly Father. We don’t have to earn His love…He already loves us. We don’t have to change…He’ll change us. We won’t lose our salvation…Jesus is our salvation.

Satan is a liar and today, we are standing in faith that Jesus is Lord of Lords and Kings of Kings. He is our Jehovah Jireh. God’s eternal grace, continual provision and all-encompassing wisdom is available to all those who believe. Jehovah-Jireh is not “The LORD Might Provide,” but “The LORD Will Provide.” His name doesn’t simply indicate that He provided once and won’t do it again. No…it anticipates a future action, a constant help. God is, was, and will always be the same. He doesn’t change.

When satan’s fiery darts are constantly shaking your world, it is so important that you do not weaken in your faith. Our God is our provider and is more than capable to provide, satisfy, and help you overcome. You might not see a way but our God has a way. Don’t let your faith waver or unbelief creep in. Stand boldly at the feet of Jesus. Give Him your worries and doubts. Let Him know that through it all, you will praise His name above all else. It doesn’t matter what we see, what matters is who lives within us. He is far greater than anything that comes against you.

So today, let’s stand in faith together. Whatever your need is today, ask God for it in prayer and then believe that you receive it. (Romans 4:18-21) It doesn’t matter if your circumstances don’t fit what you’re asking for. God is not limited by our circumstances. He created the whole universe and has unlimited power. He wants us to ask, believe and know without a shadow of any doubt, He can provide you with unlimited resources. It’s not for us to show off but it’s for His glory!

Think of it this way…

  • Is your vehicle broken and run down? Ask God for a debt-free vehicle and then say out loud…Thank you Lord for providing my awesome new vehicle. I believe that I receive a debt-free vehicle that is top of the line in the name of Jesus.  You are the all powerful, almighty, all loving God and I praise your name.
  • Do you need a home to call your own or something larger to fit your family’s needs? Ask God for the perfect debt-free home and then say out loud…Thank you Lord for providing my family’s incredible home. I believe that I receive a debt-free home right now in the name of Jesus. You are the all powerful, almighty, all loving God and I praise your name.
  • Do you or someone you love need healing? One small touch from God is all it takes. Ask God for His swift healing and then say out loud…Thank you Lord for providing my healing. By Jesus stripes we are now healed. I believe that I receive your healing, in the name of Jesus. You are the all powerful, almighty, all loving God and I praise your name.

Whatever you need, God can provide. The key is to stand in faith and keep believing until everything is manifested and restored in your life. Don’t let satan steal your joy anymore. Stand strong and keep the faith for your Jehovah Jireh can and will provide. It’s not about being able to boast about your new job, car or home…it’s about receiving an incredible testimony about what God did for you to share with others. Because you will know that you know it was your Heavenly Father that provided and there was absolutely nothing you could have done to make it happen. It will defy all human logic.

God gives you breath and grace that is sufficient every single day. Why wouldn’t He give you your heart’s desires in order to Praise His Name? (Psalm 37:4) He is and will forever be…all you need! Don’t let fear and doubt stop you anymore. Take the limits off God and see His mighty hand swiftly come upon you.

Are You Salty?

popcornHow do people react around you? When you walk into work, a store, or a gathering…do people gravitate towards you or do you feel like you’re being avoided?

Many “Christians” have a difficult time socializing with others; especially non-believers. They have a difficult time engaging people of the world and they never feel like they fit in. Some people may have tattoos, some people may use profanity, some people may look different, some people just don’t want to hear about God. So, how are you to remain salty in a dark world?

When we can engage people on their own terms, they’ll feel kindness. When we can accept them for who they are, they’ll feel like you aren’t judging them. The best thing you can do is just be kind to everyone that crosses your path. We were all sinners once and someone accepted you just as you were. Jesus died for you. He didn’t judge you. He didn’t tell you to change before he would accept you. NO…all you had to do was accept Him and immediately you became part of His family.

Think about it this way…

When you eat popcorn, the salt makes you incredibly thirsty. When people come across your path, would they become thirsty for whatever it is you have? Are they seeing a kind, caring, loving, giving individual?

We are the salt of the Earth! But why?

“To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.” (Acts 26:18)

Salt and light irritates darkness. Salt fights corruption. Salt is flavor. We don’t have to go around quoting the Bible. We don’t have to go around correcting people or being condescending. NO…We just need to engage people on their level. Talk with them. Make them feel special. That is how we can be an influence without having a “Holier than Thou” attitude.

You may be the only “Bible” people see or read. They will watch your actions. They will watch what you say or do under pressure. They will watch how you react towards someone different than you. Just be authentic and real, in everyday situations. Engage all people as if they are your long lost relative that you are happy to see.

Before you know it, they will want to know your secret. They will want to know how you can be peaceful and content in the middle of your chaos. God will open the door for you to tell your testimony and touch their lives in a way they never experienced before.

Simply do what you say and say what you mean. Do things with a smile. Accomplish your tasks with a pep in your step and you will begin to see your saltiness shine through! God’s grace will overcome the darkness, pain, and suffering of that individual, but you will need to just love them right where they are!

So…SMILE AND BE SALTY TODAY! You never know who God will bring across your path so that they can see HIS AMAZING LOVE FLOW THROUGH YOU!

Grab Hold Of Your Future

Let Go (2014_03_10 01_21_18 UTC)Life has a funny way of constantly reminding you of the things you’ve done wrong. You can be in the middle of a fantastic day, when out of nowhere, a reminder of your past comes along. As soon as it pops into your head, you have a choice to make. You can either mull it over and relive it, or you can ask for God’s forgiveness and release it to Him.

No matter who you are, where you came from, or what you’ve done…IT DOES NOT DEFINE YOU NOW! Your past is just that…your past. When you repented and accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, your past no longer exists and He sees your sins no more. (Hebrews 10:17) You don’t have to live in shame, guilt, anger, or regret. Thanks to Jesus’s finished work, you are a new creature in Christ and only the best days are ahead of you.

So the next time a little reminder comes along, stop it in its path. Release whatever it is to God and let Jesus’ rest come upon you. He will never leave you, nor forsake you. Let Him fill you with unspeakable peace that only He can provide. Accept His loving mercy and kindness today.

REPEAT AFTER ME:

Lord Jesus, thank you for loving me so much. Thank you for forgiving me of my sins and making me a new creature. Today, I release all of my past hurts, anger, guilt, shame, and pain. Fill me with your amazing peace as I begin to step forward into the incredible life you have for me. Today, I will walk boldly and confidently knowing that my past is forgiven. Thank you for your mercy, grace, love and kindness. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen.

Now…

Be A Doubt Buster Today

Breaking ChainesEver find yourself saying “I doubt that could happen” or “my circumstances will never change” or “it’s just the way it is”?

We all go through long periods in our lives when nothing seems to be going right. Whether you got a bad report from the doctor or you can’t pay your bills. Maybe your family is in strife or you can’t find a job. Maybe your body is being attacked.

Whatever you find yourself going through, it’s easy to think on the problem and complain about it constantly. Worse yet, if it’s been a long time with the same problem or many problems all at once, you can find yourself saying I guess I just need to get used to it and you accept defeat.

No! There are two ways to live our lives. One in the “doubting Thomas” mindset or one in the “all things are possible to those who believe” mindset. When we doubt, we are being double minded. God said he gave us the power to choose life or death; therefore choose life. (Deuteronomy 30:19-20) He also has made it quite clear that when we doubt, we are setting ourselves up for failure.

James 1:6-7: “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord.”

God makes it quite clear that if we doubt than we should not expect anything from Him. Basically when we doubt, we are telling God that our problems are larger than He is. How do you think that must make God feel when He created everything thing in the world, including us?

So you must be wondering, now what can I do? We must become more childlike where we stop analyzing everything to death. Every time a doubting thought comes into your mind, immediately replace it with God’s word!

  • When you have a thought that the pain will never go away…say “by His stripes I am healed!
  • When you think my circumstances will never change…say “I am more than a conqueror through Christ!”
  • When your finances dry up and you have no way to pay the bills…say “My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches and glory!”

Feed Your Faith

No matter what you see or feel, God knows every single piece of hair on your head. He counts your tears. There is absolutely nothing too hard for Him.

It may be taking longer than you would like and you are finding yourself frustrated; it’s okay…God completely understands. Ask Him for His forgiveness. AND FROM THIS DAY FORWARD…choose life and life more abundantly over every doubt, over every fear, over every pain. For God can not lie and all His promises will come to pass in your life if you will hold on tight and push the doubt away.

Let’s all become Doubt Busters today! You are not staying where you are right now…you have a tremendous life ahead of you and nothing, and I do mean nothing, can hold God’s promises back from being completed in your life! Stay in faith and know that everything will be alright!
