Really??? Say What!!!

Last week we spoke about What Jesus Did and how God’s anointing changes everything. We briefly touched on the subject of giving and how today’s society is using it for their own purposes. This week, I would like to expand on this topic in order to help those struggling in this area.

Let’s start with something that happened to me a short time back. I was following and listening to a very well know, TV preacher that has a daily/weekly broadcast. I believed in what he was teaching and truly gave from my heart as God led me.

One day I was really struggling to keep hope alive as everything was going frantic in life. I really felt the need to have prayer spoken over me so I called this big TV preacher’s church for prayer. I was connected to a “higher up” in the organization due to my “giving” status. Wow, I was thinking this is great, a more anointed person is going to say prayer over me. That’s awesome.

But then everything changed. When this person answered the phone, do you know what the first thing out of this person’s mouth was? No joke…it was “How much do you give?”. It wasn’t how can I help you, what do you need prayer over, or what are you encountering? No, it was “How much do you give?” I was flabbergasted. When I blurted out “why does that even matter?”, her reply was “it tells me how much you believe.” REALLY??? WHATTTTT!!!!

When I got off the phone I was in utter shock and dismay. In my mind, giving has absolutely nothing to do with prayer, healing or restoration. Jesus healed the blind, healed the lame, raised the dead, turned water to wine, healed diseases, turned 5 loaves and a few fish into food for thousands, He cast out demons and performed miracles. He was compassionate, sympathetic, caring and loving. He touched the down casts of society that the “religious” people of the day wouldn’t go near. Jesus didn’t go about asking people to give in order to receive His healing or blessings. He simply asked them to believe in Him and that He was willing to heal them.

Mark 1:40-42 “A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.”

After I thought about the whole conversation, my heart ached for the sheer magnitude of people that received the same question as I did when they called for prayer. It completely turned me off from this pastor, his teachings and daily show. This was one of the closest people to the pastor. How many other hurting people have called only to be hurt further from this type of question or even worse, if they didn’t know Jesus, were they turned off altogether from seeking Him? It absolutely broke my heart!

When you need prayer, healing or restoration, IT DOESN’T MATTER your giving status. What God is interested in is how much you trust and believe in HIM! PERIOD!!!

Our popular preachers are doing a disservice to our generation. And when all they think about is your giving status then you can immediately conclude they are guided by greed and their million dollar mansions. God isn’t interested in how much you give. What He wants is for us to have open hands for when He tells us to give, to whom to give and how much. If we immediately obey Him, it shows that we are willing to trust and obey Him. That’s it guys, that’s what matters! Can God trust you to give when He guides you to? If so, then as you obey His guidance then He can trust you with more of His resources.

And for all those who have called these big mega churches for prayer and received the same type of questioning, I’m so sorry for your pain. Do not allow their actions to hinder your progress with our loving Heavenly Father. He loves and cares about you. The pharisees of our day will get their true rewards. Don’t let them take your rightful place in the kingdom just because of their greed. God loves you too much and I pray this writing opens your heart to the real Jesus and His way of giving. May His peace, love and joy embrace you in every area of life as you walk with Him, trusting and believing He has so much more for you than you could ever imagine! God Bless!

What Did Jesus Do?

Last week we spoke about God’s anointing and how restoration could be as quick as a blink of the eye. I would like to take it a bit further this week because it’s so imperative that we understand what we should be preparing for in the big scheme of things.

According to John 14:12-14, we’re told that we will do even greater things than the works Jesus did.

John 14:12-14 “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”

That’s a tall order! Think about what Jesus really did. He healed the blind, healed the lame, raised the dead, turned water to wine, healed diseases, turned 5 loaves and a few fish into food for thousands, He cast out demons and performed miracles. He was compassionate, sympathetic, caring and loving. He touched the down casts of society that the “religious” people of the day wouldn’t go near.

In today’s society you see so many preachers and prophets getting up in front of TV cameras or stadiums telling people if you give $149 today then God will make so and so 1:49 scripture come true in your life. Sorry for saying this but that’s hogwash!

It’s so imperative we understand this concept. We’ve been told for so long to give in order to receive. Now don’t get me wrong…God does guide us to give and wants us to be cheerful givers. However, he will guide us to whom and how much. But it doesn’t always have to be money. He may tell you to give away clothing, time or some other gift you may possess. The purpose of giving is to show God that we are willing to let go of what He provides and not be hoarders for “self” purposes; showing He can trust us with greater things.

However when it comes to the healing power of Jesus, that comes from Heaven itself through the anointed hand of God. God doesn’t want anyone to perish and He’s always willing to accept people into His kingdom before it’s too late.

People are hurting and feeling lost. The more society creates “social apps” the more unloved and disconnected people are feeling. They are seeking truth, acceptance, compassion and real love.

God wants us to perform greater things than Jesus did and win souls for the kingdom. Let’s be honest…it’s going to take supernatural miracles to jar people into questioning how the miracles took place and truly open their eyes to know God is real! That in turn will open dialogue between believers and the lost.

No matter what your profession is or where you live, God can use any believer, any where to accomplish His mighty acts. We must be prepared to love unconditionally without judgement. For those who God brings in our path may not look or act like us, but we need to have open arms to save those who have endured various pains, sufferings and loss. It will be by His anointing that we will make the difference.

Will you be ready for the Mighty Hand of God to bring a fresh anointing upon you? In a blink of an eye, God can use you in a mighty way if you will let Him. May your journey bring much love, joy and peace for His Glory!!!

Because God is mightily moving in all of our lives where victory is right around the corner, the enemy is going to do everything he can to put fear, pain, or wrong thinking into our minds and lives. We do not fight people, companies, family or anything of the human realm. Our battles are spiritual and we need to put the whole armor of God on every single day. (Ephesians 6:11-12)

Getting into God’s word is absolutely vital right now. Here are a couple of powerful and prophetic words to listen, meditate and stand upon. They are motivational, inspirational and highly needed tools to help you stand until victory is seen. Why It’s Been So Difficult

What an amazing time we are living in. God is moving, shaking and changing lives. AND YOUR BEST IS HERE!!!

We have all been hit hard in life. Everything that should have happened, didn’t. People that should have had your back, left or talked bad about you. Your finances dried up; barely squeaking by. Family members went to heaven; even though you prayed and did everything you knew to do. It seems like the wilderness and dry places were more than most of us could bare.

But I have great news for you today! It was all a set up and you’re about to move into your promise land. Whooo, glory to God! Hallelujah!!!

God knows how hard it was for you. He knows the pain and struggles you faced. He saw you holding on by a thread, wondering why everything was happening to you. But you held on to Him against all the odds and now it’s time to move into your amazing destiny and future.

Listen to Brother Eli in the video below as he so wonderfully describes why this wilderness was so different from those in the past and what your moving into. You will be jumping for joy, dancing to the Lord and giving God all the glory. Looking forward to hearing all the incredible things God does in your life. God Bless!!!

Praise Him In The Middle

God is doing new things across the world right now. He’s stirring up anything and everything that has been causing evil in our lives. His hand is mightily stretching forth and He’s calling His servants to come out of the world’s systems. He’s pulling all of us into higher understanding and is asking us to see His mighty works transform. The most important thing we can do right now is PRAISE HIM!

Psalm 113 (KJV): 113 Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord. 2 Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. 3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord’s name is to be praised. 4 The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens. 5 Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high, 6 Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth! 7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; 8 That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people. 9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.

Not everyone has gone through the things we have. Not everyone was called for this specific time and purpose. So don’t listen to those murmuring, complaining or those trying to give you advice on what you should do when they haven’t been through the wilderness season like you have. They don’t get it. They don’t see the gut-wrenching pain you’ve been through and quite honestly they don’t understand it.

Our wilderness seasons have been long and hard. They have brought us to our knees in tears; wondering “why God why” and “when God when”. God is calling all of us to look to Him for victory. We have the victory no matter what our lives look like. It doesn’t matter what has been lost, stolen or what our lives look like at the moment. Trust and believe in Him. Praise Him for who He is and watch Him transform your life into something more amazing than ever imagined. His ways are far greater than ours. So don’t trust the naysayers or their guidance.

Our Heavenly Father loves us very much and has seen what’s come against us. Don’t give up, don’t lose hope and praise Him in the middle of your situation right now. He’s doing mighty things and wants you to praise Him even before you see the situation change.

Praise up, look up and never forget…everything that has been done against you was done against your Heavenly Father. He wants your situations to change more than you do. But will you give Him the Glory when they change? Let Him know right now that you will give Him all the praise and glory even before things change. He wants you restored, successful and victorious. Praise Him right now and watch your victories come to pass. Hallelujah Praise the Lord for He is good, loving, caring and the Creator of the Universe. He is worthy to be praised!
