Faith of a Mustard Seed

In today’s society, most people need to see things in order to believe in them.  But for those of us who follow Christ, we are told to believe in things unseen.  The Bible explains this point very well.  In Hebrews 11:1 “NOW FAITH is the assurance of things hoped for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality.”    So the bottom-line here is that we must have faith and trust in what we can not see; therefore, making it a reality within our lives; BELIEVING IN OUR BIG GOD and HIS PROMISES!

From my own personal experience, I can say that when I started thinking and saying things that didn’t exist in my life yet, I felt like a hypocrite.  If I was feeling sick, I would think and say…”By His Stripes I am healed (Isaiah 53:5).  Or maybe my funds were low and I would think and say, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not lack.” (Psalm 23:1)  When you begin practicing this simple tool, it does feel awkward or out of the norm.  But the truth is…this should be our NORM!

Even if you have faith of a mustard seed (Luke 17:6), God will begin transforming your dreams into reality. The more you focus on Him while being grateful for His promises, the more you will see His beautiful provisions in your life.  His blessings are all around us, every moment of every day.  Make it a point to be grateful for all the small things in your life because He will see your gratefulness and trust you with so much more.  The best thing we can do is keep our faith aligned with His word. DO NOT LOOK at your current circumstances.  LOOK AT GOD and HIS PROMISES!

Always remember that no matter how bad things might be in your life right now; be grateful and have faith in HIM because there is always light at the end of the tunnel. OUR GOD LOVES TO GIVE! Philippians 4:19 tells us that “my God shall supply all your needs”. So, have FAITH that everything will turn out for your good because HE knows what is best for you, now and forever!

The Dreaded Doubt

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to doubt?  When things are going crazy around you and life seems to be throwing you a lot of lemons, we tend to think things will never get any better.  We begin to think that life isn’t fair and we can never get out of these lousy circumstances.

This is something I have personally struggled with in the past.  I had found myself experiencing a very long period of not enough and life just kept spiralling downward without any reprieve in sight.  So, it became easier to think that life wasn’t going to get any better.  I started to believe I was a failure and that is when depression set in…all from the doubts that kept creeping into my mind.

During this entire time, God kept trying to get my attention. I would be channel surfing on the TV and would end up watching a sermon about faith.  Or, I would grab for a book and it would be all about His Grace and Unmerited Favor. But in my stinkin’ thinkin’…I would constantly tell myself, that is great for those giving the testimonies but God won’t do it for me.

BUT, that is where I was wrong.  God is not a respecter of persons. (Acts 10:34)  What He will do for one, He will do for all. There is absolutely nothing too big or too small for God to handle.  My problem was I kept thinking and doubting that it would happen for me.

When we doubt, we stop having faith and hope.  It stunts our growth.  We begin the downward spiral that seems to never end.  Yet, this doesn’t have to be.  Doubt should never be an option for those who believe in Him!  The more we look at our terrible circumstances, the more doubt will continue to creep into our lives and we start losing the very essence of who we are in Christ.

On the cross, Christ conquered all sickness, all poverty, all failures and gave us the greatest gift known to man…HIMSELF!  By believing that Christ is our Lord and Savior, doubt has no place in our lives.  We become more than conquerors! (Romans 8:37)  We are the head and not the tail. (Deuteronomy 28:13) We are successful and have more than enough to spare and share!

When you start believing in His promises and allowing your FAITH to grow, doubt will diminish and you will begin to see your life turnaround.  God has perfect timing and ways to make our lives better than ever before.  So, LOOK UP and trust in Him…for our lives are BIGGER, BETTER and FULL OF GOD’S AMAZING GRACE.  Nothing will defeat us because we are in HIS HANDS and HE WILL NEVER LEAVE OR FORSAKE US!

WE ARE VICTORIOUS!  THINK IT…SAY IT…BELIEVE IT!

Do Not Be Troubled

Do not let your heart be troubled
For our Lord will provide us double
Never before have we been so divided
Stand up tall and let your heart be guided.

Stretch forth your hands and Praise His Name
For He’s in charge and knows the game
God knows exactly what is in store
Continue to love Him like never before.

It is apparent that we’re racing to the end
But He still has more for us, then spend and lend
So look up now for our time draws near
Hope and pray that we are worthy and dear.

The “I CAN’T” Syndrome

Everyday people are tormenting themselves by thinking:

I Can’t change
I Can’t believe
I Can’t get over this sickness
I Can’t go on
I Can’t forgive
I Can’t pay my bills
I Can’t get a job and so on.

What we must realize is that this mentality and attitude sets you up to fail, to quit, and to live a negative, defeated life.  It is a very poisonous mindset that we must overcome in order to see victory within our lives.

The Bible has so many wonderful scriptures that deal with this mindset.  When you start thinking “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13) or Oh Lord my God, I cried to You and You healed me.” (Psalm 30:2); you will begin to notice changes in your life.

The most important thing we can do, is stand firm in His word and have faith that he will change our circumstances.  For in Ephesians 3:20 it says “He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond all we can ask or think“, so why in the world we would allow the dreaded “I Can’t” Syndrome rule in our lives.  “I Can’t” should not be in our vocabulary.

We serve a BIG GOD and he wants us to have more than enough to spare and share.  Why do you think one of God’s names in the Bible is El Shaddai?  It means more than enough!  I don’t think that would be coincidental, do you?

The best thing we can do to over come this negative mindset is set our eyes above.  “For my God shall supply ALL your needs according to His riches.” (Philippians 4:19)  There is absolutely no question that God has you covered, no matter what the circumstance looks like.  We are VICTORIOUS and CONQUERORS through Christ!

So, Stand Up and Shake It Off

SAY…I CAN!  Watch Me!
