I’ve been through the worst (and very long) wilderness season of my life. And I know just how painful it can be. One of the hardest sorrows is losing loved ones. I’ve lost some of the closest people that meant the world to me. The sadness, depression and tears that tried to take me out. But the devil is a liar and I’m still standing just like you are!!!

The way you look at death is very important, especially if you know they believed in our Lord Jesus. On earth we are mourning from the loss, from the memories and everything else that correlates back to that person. However they are in the presence of our Heavenly Father, seeing things beyond our comprehension and feeling the absolute pure love in Heaven. They aren’t regretting the loss, they are celebrating life in it’s purest form. They gained their rightful place and are enjoying life far greater than they ever had on earth. How awesome is that? It almost makes you jealous thinking of what joy, love, peace, smells, colors and amazing awe-inspiring things they are experiencing. And guess what…we are blessed because we will see them again! So rejoice, it’s not over…it’s just the beginning of great things to come.

It doesn’t matter what we have endured nor what it looks like. Jesus says He came to give us life and life more abundantly (John 10:10). He also says that death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). It’s important what we say every moment of every day!!!

We may not understand what happened, but the past is just that…the past. Let it all go and rejoice in the Lord. “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” (Proverbs 17:22) So instead of seeing the pain, the loss or suffering; look at it from God’s perspective. Everything that has happened to you will be turned into your favor. God is unlimited and all things are possible. You will see His incredible promises come to light. Start rejoicing today before you even see it change, for God can not lie and HE will do mighty things in your life. So again I say REJOICE!!!
