Faith of a Mustard Seed

In today’s society, most people need to see things in order to believe in them. But for those of us who follow Christ, we are told to believe in things unseen. The Bible explains this point very well.  In Hebrews 11:1 “NOW FAITH is the assurance of things hoped for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality.”

So the bottom-line here is that we must have faith and trust in what we can not see; therefore, making it a reality within our lives; BELIEVING IN OUR BIG GOD and HIS PROMISES!

From my own personal experience, I can say that when I started thinking and saying things that didn’t exist in my life yet, I felt like a hypocrite. If I was feeling sick, I would think and say…”By His Stripes I am healed (Isaiah 53:5). Or when my funds were low, I would think and say, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not lack.” (Psalm 23:1) When you begin practicing this simple tool, it does feel awkward or out of the norm. But the truth is…this should be our NORM!

Even if you have faith of a mustard seed (Luke 17:6), God will begin transforming your dreams into reality. The more you focus on Him while being grateful for His promises, the more you will see His beautiful provisions in your life. His blessings are all around us, every moment of every day. Make it a point to be grateful for all the small things in your life because He will see your gratefulness and trust you with so much more. The best thing you can do is keep your faith aligned with His word. DO NOT LOOK at your current circumstances. LOOK AT GOD and HIS PROMISES!

No matter how bad things might be in your life right now; be grateful that you are a Child of the Most High God and have faith in HIM. There is always light at the end of your dark tunnel. Everything will turn out for your good because HE knows exactly what you need, when you need it, and the best way to get it to you.

He won’t let you down. Get up every morning and know that you are going to have a GREAT DAY because God is already there!

4 Steps To Winning Your Battle

surprise-fiery darts1 Peter 4:12-13 “12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; 13 but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the revelation of His glory you may rejoice with exultation.”

James 1:2-8 “Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”

First things first. The very first word in Peter’s passage says “Beloved”. That means you are loved, accepted and forgiven right now in the midst of your trial, your difficulty, your sickness, your pain, your loss, and your lack. Nothing could be more rewarding than knowing you’re loved. Peter (who penned this passage) had denied Jesus 3 times. But even denying Jesus didn’t keep God’s love from Peter. Peter became a very influential, powerful, loving and healing man in the name of Jesus. People didn’t wait for Peter to pray over them or anoint them with oil…they only needed to get into Peter’s shadow and they were healed. That’s the power of God’s love. Being His “beloved” is more powerful than you can imagine. Embrace His love!

God doesn’t bring bad things into our lives. No, satan does. The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. God doesn’t want anyone going through difficult times or even going to hell. It’s just the opposite. He died for you, he conquered death for you, he conquered the devil for you. He loves you unconditionally. However, He gives you a choice. He made the way, he made the train to heaven but you have to get on board. How would you feel if someone only loved you because you forced it upon them? How would you like it if they only loved you because of manipulation? Wouldn’t you prefer to have them love you because they simply love you? God is like that…he simply loves you no matter if you love him or not. He just loves you and he wants you to make the choice. He doesn’t want to make or force you to love him. He doesn’t want slaves. He wants us to freely love him just as we are freely able to go to heaven. He loves us so much that He gives us a choice. Now that’s genuine love.

When you are going through a difficult time, it’s easy to be confused, have a pity party, be negative, continuously complain or moan about your circumstance. But you’ll quickly realize that the only people who will want to hang out with you are the other complainers. It’s like the blind leading the blind. It’s a no win situation. You remain in a “victim” mentality. When you’re constantly saying how hard life is, you put the focus on your problems. Let’s change the mindset. Think of Jesus’ life. He chose to die for us. His sweat turned to blood because he had a difficult task ahead of Him. However, He loved us so much that He was willing to lay down His life for us. So the best thing we can do is realize that His love is more than enough to see us through.

Love 1Think of it this way…when you first fell in love with someone, you were intoxicated by that love. You wanted to be with this person all the time. You wanted to have fun and hang out as much as possible with them. The love made you high and nothing else seemed to matter. You still had bills to pay but they didn’t bother you. You would still want to be with this person every chance you had.

That’s the love God wants you to experience with him while you’re going through the trial. He doesn’t love you any less because of the trial. He didn’t take His blessings away. He didn’t want something bad to happen to you. It’s not a sign that God’s hand has been removed from your life. No…we have to turn it around that God loves us and he is in the middle of the storm with us. He will turn it all around for his purpose and for our good. He brings the turnaround from darkness to light, poverty to abundance, evil to good, sickness to healing ~ God is a God of turnaround. And most importantly…GOD HAS THE FINAL WORD in every situation and He will turn it around because He loves you too much.

Secondly, don’t be surprised when you experience fiery trials. Don’t be surprised when people lie about you, someone lets you down, sickness or addictions hit you, poverty strikes your household, or you find yourself in numerous battles and struggles all at once. Don’t be surprised when the devil tries to hit you or your family from every angle. He comes to steal, kill and destroy. He will do everything in his power to make you give up. The best way to take the devil’s power away from him is by not being surprised. God told us that we would have trials and tribulations in this world but take courage because He already overcame the world. The more you stand in faith, the more satan will attack. Steal the fiery darts sting by not being surprised when bad things happen in your life. Just know that you know somehow, someway God already has the answer.

God loves you too much and promises it will all turnaround for your good. Take away satan’s element of surprise and you will prevail. Don’t worry about where he came into your life because he would attack you no matter what. When something difficult comes upon you turn it around immediately. Say wow it’s about time you came, I’ve been waiting for you. I’m prepared for you. I will remain encouraged and be in good cheer. Tell satan thank you for coming against me because Jesus shows up in a mighty way when you attack me. Come quickly Jesus for I’m being attacked.

joyThirdly, count it all joy as soon as you see it coming, when it comes, while you’re going through it, and when you overcome it. Be happy and joyful in the midst of it all. Count it all joy. Worship and praise the Lord before, during and after. Be free in the midst of it.

God won’t be late and even if he is…God created time so he can change that too. You might think he needs to come right now because your bill needs to be paid or you’ll lose your home…but even if God is late in your mind and you lose your home, He can turn it around and give you something more amazing to replace it. He promises that you will not lack anything!

Rejoice when you can’t see a way or when you can’t figure it out. Rejoice in sickness, difficult, trials, hardships because when you remember that you’re not under fire, your faith is and Jesus already won; it shifts your mind to glorifying God and not your problems. When you can stand in the middle of your battle, believing in God and having faith that God will shift things around…satan is going to try to rob it from you because your faith glorifies God. Hold onto your faith. Don’t stop believing. Rejoice that God loves you, the answer is coming, and your faith will win.

Fourthly, James 1:5 mentions that if you lack wisdom, ask of God and he will supply it liberally. However, don’t look for the solutions first. We always look for solutions first, it’s our human nature. However, God’s ways are higher than ours! INSTEAD…we must first know we are loved, then we aren’t to be surprised by the trial, then we are to count it all joy and rejoice, then and only then ask for wisdom. Don’t let the situation move you. Instead move the opposite direction. Give more, praise more, rejoice more, spread the Gospel more, and love more. There is a fighter and champion in every single one of us. Fight the real battle of faith.

Once your heart is celebrating, rejoicing, and counting it all joy…then the answers will come. Joy in the Lord gives you strength. As soon as you are filled with joy, praise and worship; God can then fill your head with the right answers. If He doesn’t wait until you’re filled with joy…He knows that it’s too easy for us to doubt or become double-minded. See, when you make up your mind that no matter what you will stand on His word, you can easily detect incorrect thoughts. You can easily take them captive and reject anything that doesn’t line up with the Word of God. You will know that God will perform His word and promises. With the right mental stability, you will be able to stand on faith without wavering and you will receive it because you will be able to remain focused on how big God is and not how big the problem seems to be.

suddenly-Breakthrough

So as you find yourself facing difficult situations, difficult people or lack in any area of your life…remember God’s 4 Key turnaround formula:

  1. Know God loves you very much
  2. Don’t be surprised
  3. Count it all joy and Rejoice
  4. Ask for wisdom

I pray that you will embrace His truth and see your breakthrough suddenly! Your best days are just ahead! Don’t give up ~ Praise Up!

You Are More Than A Conqueror

Jesus shed His blood in seven different places to break every curse and redeem us to every blessing His blood activates. It is a time to remember exactly what Jesus did for each and every one of us. He paid the ultimate sacrifice. He broke every curse. He broke every addiction. He gave us dominion and authority.

  1. In the Garden of Gesthemane: He bought back our willpower and to redeem our will. (Matthew 26:39)
  2. At the Whipping Post: By His stripes we are healed. Every curse of sickness and disease was broken. (1Peter 2:24)
  3. Crown of Thorns: To break the curse of poverty. (Genesis 3:17-18)
  4. In His hands: To restore dominion to the works of our hands. (Deut. 28:12-13)
  5. In His feet: To give us authority everywhere we walk. (Joshua 1:3)
  6. In His side: His was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities and heals our broken hearts. (Luke 4:18)
  7. He stomped on the devil’s forehead and bruised His heel to break every family and generational curse. (Isaiah 53:5)

Take back your God-given blessings that Jesus gave us. When He said “IT IS FINISHED”, he didn’t mean it would be a hit or miss, pie-in-the-sky kind of faith. He returned us to the Father who is there for us every single moment of every day. He gave us everything we needed to make it through any trial, any difficulty, and any situation that comes against us that is contrary to the Word of God!

Take your stand against the enemy. You are more than conqueror through the Blood of Jesus. You are the head and not the tail, above and not below, you are the lender not the borrower. Take back what the devil has stolen and remind him that Jesus’ blood gives you complete victory.

Don’t let another day go by without thanking Jesus for His sacrifice and for the heavenly blessings He has bestowed towards you. Return unto Him and he’ll return unto you. Give and it shall be given to you. Know the seven places Jesus shed His blood and understand why God’s Word is Final! It is because of Jesus that you will have favor with Him and with man. Praise His Name above all others and watch the amazing blessings burst forth into your life.

Today is a new day. Activate the 7 places Jesus shed His blood and He will bring favor upon you. Let God stand in front of you and your family to make every curse pass over your home, business, health, family, and finances. Almighty God will open the windows of Heaven over you and your family which will release the blessings that Jesus’ blood provides. You are more than a conqueror through the Blood of Jesus Christ and today, your life will never be the same. Rejoice for the Lord is good – Your Victory Is At Hand!

Perspective is Everything

What situation do you find yourself in right now? Is everything going well or is everything falling apart?

If you’re like most of us, life seems to be falling apart as we are in the battle for our lives. No matter where you look, it appears evil is winning. Right seems wrong and wrong seems right.

Wilderness seasons are as tough as they can get. It’s a season where sickness and disease are prevalent, we don’t have enough, we wonder if things will ever get better, people walk out of our lives, we can feel lonely and depressed or worse, we can feel so alone that we consider suicide. It’s moments like these you wonder what is your purpose in life and if people would miss you when you are gone. These types of seasons are filled with hurt, pain and lack. And if you let it, a lot of complaining.

It’s a crazy world we live in but have no fear. There are many benefits to our wilderness seasons and if we can change our perspective, it can change everything.

If you look in the Bible when John baptized Jesus, what was the very next thing that happened? The Holy Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness. It was a place of nothing, a place of loneliness, a place of temptation and a place of hunger. (Matthew 4)

God wants us to lean on Him in good times and bad times. He wants us to invite Him into our lives to take our lack and multiply it to meet, not just our needs, but the needs of others too. Sometimes the only way for us to learn how to lean on Him for ALL things is by going through a very rough and dry spell. It’s during these times we seek Him above all else. We read the Bible more, we commune with God more, we ask questions, we seek His answers and we learn to not lean on our understanding or on our ways of doing things because no matter what we try, nothing works.

During these difficult times, God wants us to grow. He wants to test us, transform us, purify us, prove us and prepare us for great things. He wants to walk with us and teach us that He is with us no matter how good or bad the situations are in life. He wants us to depend on Him when fear is trying to get a hold of us. He wants us to look towards Him when we don’t see a way. He wants us to see Him as our provider, our restorer, our healer, our first love.

The wilderness is sometimes the best way for God to clean out the junk in our hearts. We may think we are in alignment with God, only to find out we are holding onto grudges, unforgiveness, pain and brokenness. This is when God can do amazing things. When we can humble ourselves in the midst of the battle to say “God I need you”.

When we are feeling lost, scared and alone that’s when God can bring out the best in us and prepare us for the road ahead. He wants us to always remember “give us this day our daily bread”. We need to change our perspectives and see God moving in the midst of our battles. He has a way when we don’t see one. He knows what we need and when we need it. Begin to rely on HIM for EVERYTHING and you will quickly become ready for your “promised land”.

Boast in your battle, your distress and your persecutions. (2 Cor. 12:9, Hebrews 11:34) Depend on God! You’re strong if you’re holding on. Don’t let go. God is transforming you into a mighty warrior in the midst of your battle. His resources are unlimited and dependable. Let Him do His mighty work in you so your are prepared for His incredible plan for your life.

Realize that temptations will also be in the “promised land”. It’s easy to get comfortable and feel secure when things are going great. It’s easy to forget that God provided the blessings and abundance. We need to be prepared for the greatness He has in store for us while still relying on Him even when everything is going well.

Remember…Faith, Dependence, Trust, being Humble, Provision, Healing and Protection is needed in the wilderness and in abundance. It takes courage and strength to embrace the difficult learning seasons; but God is calling you out and wants to hold your hand. Will you trust Him enough to let go, learn what you need to learn, let Him transform you and prepare you while depending on Him every step of the way? And will you remember Him and give Him the praise when everything turns into your favor?
