Giving Thanks

This year has been full of storm devastation, high crimes, political upheavals, and economic chaos. Many people are reeling from the uncertainly and the unknown.

With all of the terrible situations we’ve seen, whether on the news or experienced within our own lives; I would like to ask everyone to take a moment and find something to be grateful to God for. No matter what you’re experiencing, God is still in control. We may not understand all the “Whys” or “How Comes”, but we can still hold onto the hope that it will turn out for our good. (Romans 8:28)

God has the answers and His ways are far beyond ours. We should all be thankful that He will provide, heal, restore, strengthen, and guide our steps; because His word says so.

Every day is filled with opportunity.  It can be filled with anger and depression or it can be filled with love and laughter.  We all have a choice to make every time we wake up in the morning. Make a commitment today to serve the Lord and continuously be thankful in all things.  He promises not to let you down.

Rationalizing It Out

Have you ever found yourself with numerous opportunities and had no clue which way to go?  They all seem like fantastic opportunities that you would love to try.  If you go one way, your life goes in one direction and if you go the other way, your life would head in a completely different direction.  What if both ways take you along the same path, but, the outcome is very different.  How do you decide?

We all find ourselves in these types of situations.  Everything looks wonderful and you’re excited, however, you have no idea what to do.  That’s when we start rationalizing things in our minds.  We think about what the opportunity is and how it fits into our lives.  We start to analyze to the point of pure frustration and confusion.

Whether you are deciding on a house to buy or a job opportunity; the rationale is the same.  When you start rationalizing things out, you can come up with millions of reasons why you should choose one way over the other.  You may be more excited about one decision and it might “feel” right.  However, it could be completely wrong for you, no matter how it “feels”. Don’t make decisions based on feelings.

This is when you need to stop, pause, and seek God’s guidance.  Unless you have peace deep within, it is not the direction you need to take.  God will make your path perfectly clear.  It may not be the exciting route you wanted to take, but, it will be filled with provision, love, and peace.

God Knows the Plan

God wants the best for you and He will guide you to it.  It doesn’t usually come with all the big frills and fireworks.  Instead, He will lead you step by step.  After the first step, more doors will open.  Every door that opens will become bigger and greater than the last.

So, seek God’s will for your life.  When you find that deep peace, while making a decision, then take a step forward in faith. God has an amazing and exciting future in store for you.  So, choose wisely and all of heaven will be cheering and rooting you on to something more amazing, more rewarding, and more incredible than ever before.

Continuous Journey

Thank youAs you began to step out, the path was difficult.  Unsure of where it was leading or if you were making a difference.  When you take time to reflect on where you used to be to where you are now; can you see the changes that have occurred since you began your journey with Christ?

Some changes are subtle.  Some much larger.  When you first started your journey, how did you act?  Were you rebellious?  A partier? A worry wart?  Obnoxious?  Self indulgent?  Chasing money and status?  Living promiscuously?

Living the world’s way always looked like fun.  People wanted to hang out with you because you were the life of the party.  Friends gathered to drink the night away. But what happened when you became a follower of Christ?  Did everything change?  Did people drop out of your life because they didn’t understand?  Did people look at you differently?

As you continue your journey, don’t fret what you might have lost.  Don’t worry about how people judge you from your past.  You are a new creation in Christ; worthy of His righteousness, glory, and honor. (2 Cor. 5:17)  Individuals that belong in your life will remain while others need to be let go.  What we need to realize is that unless they have an encounter with Christ themselves, they will not understand what you have experienced.  They will not understand how you can be peaceful, content, and forgiving; while they still struggle with past issues.

There are so many wonderful things to learn along the way.  It is a continuous journey that changes you from deep within until it starts to overflow into other people’s lives.  Embrace the changes.  Be empowered to be different.  For those who knew you back then, may eventually notice the difference.  And, who knows…they may come to Christ after seeing the tremendous things God does in your life.

Enjoy the Journey

I pray that the Holy Spirit continuously changes you; becoming deeply rooted in Christ.  There is nothing better than His love that exudes from the pores of your body. Being changed by His mighty hands is more powerful than anything the “world” holds.

So embrace your truth and your incredible purpose; for God has an amazing journey made specifically for you.  Be bold, brave, and beautiful for your life’s journey with Christ will be the greatest encounter of love you could ever imagine. Your past doesn’t define you, God does!

Healing Power

Hope for HealingWounds come from a lot of different places.  It could be something from your past.  A bad report from the doctor. Something that someone said about you. Maybe you felt rejected by parents or friends. Whatever your wound or wounds might be, you don’t have to live with them any longer.

There are countless stories in the Bible that showed God’s mercy and healing.  Every where Jesus went, healing followed.  The good news is that God is the same yesterday, today, and the future.  So whatever He did then, He will do now.

Matthew 9:35  “And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.”

God wants us free from all pain, suffering, and sorrow.  He wants you happy and whole.  He wants the absolute best for His children.  He wants you prospering in your body, soul, mind, and emotions.

Every wound that ails you have to flee when Jesus is on board.  His healing power lives within you through the Holy Spirit. When you feel rejected, guilty, or an ache in your body; say to yourself, “By His stripes I am healed” (Isaiah 53:4-5) and feel the rush of love overtake you.  You may not be able to feel your healing immediately, but, don’t get discouraged.  Keep standing on His promises because healing has no choice but to come.

So, the next time an old wound attacks you…know that Jesus is in the house and it has no choice but to flee.  Be healed, whole, and restored for we serve an AWESOME GOD!
