Hold On

Hold OnEvery where you turn, things are being shaken.  The world is changing so fast that most people are unable to keep up with the demands, technology, and family dynamics.  Heads spin trying to figure out which way to go, why things aren’t happening the way they envisioned, and when are things going to change.  All of us, who have been called for a specific purpose, find ourselves struggling.  Nothing seems to go right. Nothing seems to be happening.  You take a step forward and feel like ten steps back.  But, I’m here to shout with you…HOLD ON!

Many of us have been in the small beginnings stage; learning for the journey that lies ahead.  God has placed a purpose and dream into your heart. You’ve stepped out in faith, trusting in His guidance.  But, for some reason, it doesn’t appear to be working out.

What we need to realize is that every step taken is a setup, not a setback.  When we listen to God’s guidance and step forward, He is watching over every aspect of the purpose and will make sure it comes to pass.  No matter what we see or feel, God is the Author and Finisher of our destinies.  (Philippians 1:6) He is in charge of the how, why, who and when.

People around you might be mocking.  Friends and family members can be pushing you to go in a different direction.  However, if God has called you for a specific task…HOLD ON and DON’T LET GO!

  • Keep believing!Hold On 2
  • Keep trusting!
  • Keep pushing through the barriers!

For if you do, God promises that you will not be ashamed, humiliated, or disgraced (Isaiah 54:4).

You just might be one step, one encounter, or one moment away from your dreams coming true.  For when God’s perfect timing comes upon you and all the pieces of the puzzle come together, it will be more AMAZING than you ever expected! Job 8:7 says it this way…“And though your beginning was small, your latter days will be very great.”  So, whatever you do…HOLD ON!

Shakened Confidence?

Angry_God's PromiseHave you ever notice that when you choose to follow Jesus…instead of finding life like a bed of roses, you seem to encounter some of the most difficult times in your lives? Is it coincidence or something else?

In 2016, two very special people in my life were called home to heaven. First, my amazing grandbaby. My son had just surprised my mom and I with an unexpected visit. His purpose was to visit mom (aka grams), pray over her and just spend some quality time with us. We had all just started getting ready for bed when his cellphone rang. The next thing I knew, we were rushing him to the airport as my daughter-in-law had been hospitalized. Unfortunately my first grandbaby, Christopher Lamar Tovar was not going to get a chance to live his wonderful life as he was called to be with the Lord instead. Within a few months, my mom was rushed to the hospital on Mother’s Day. To add insult to injury, she too was called to heaven. She had battled cancer for four very long years. She wasn’t going down without a fight. She had a warrior spirit within her that gave her courage, strength and much love through it all. She was the epitome of “fighting the good fight of faith”. But none the less, God chose to call her home.

It’s during times like these, we are reminded how valuable and special life really is. However, it’s also a time when you find yourself battling to remain rooted in faith. It’s the ultimate battle of the mind where you feel your confidence shaken to its very core. It’s about all the “why’s” in life that seem to go unanswered? It’s when doubt creeps in and you can’t seem to find stability or grasp the reasoning.

Life is a very precious commodity and none of us know how long God has us planned on this earth. It is during the unpleasant and heartbreaking situations that we can find our confidence shaken. Not just in ourselves but also in the Lord. You find yourself wondering why God did not miraculously heal them or why He didn’t show up when you expected and in the way you expected.

It’s easy to believe God is a good when everything is going our way. It’s when your faith and confidence is shaken so badly you truly find out what you believe. You will either believe He is truly there no matter what you face, or you will believe that you must being doing something wrong because things aren’t working out, or worse…you will begin to wonder if God really exists.

We will have trials and tribulations in our lives. Good and evil happen to us all. However, our God is a loving and caring God. He wants our lives filled with love, kindness, happiness and wholeness. He wants the absolute best for you; actually more than you can imagine. We might not understand why bad things happen…BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS…when you find yourself in battles that are beyond your comprehension…you have someone who understands it even when you don’t. You have someone that will provide you the strength and perseverance to get through it when you’re struggling to get your head off the bed.

God’s plan is bigger and higher than we can imagine. We don’t have to understand it. We don’t have to go through it alone. Instead, we can tell God exactly how we feel and He will understand. He wants you to enjoy life. Stop trying to figure it all out! Some things we may not understand until we find ourselves in heaven. Our loved ones will be waiting for us. They have been blessed to be called home sooner than we are. They have completed their course no matter how big or small their time was here on Earth. They no longer have the cares of this world. Instead they are with the Creator of the Universe and that’s a pretty amazing thing, isn’t it?

We must choose every day if we are going to believe every word of the Bible or just pick and choose scripture that we like. Will you follow God’s lead and choose to walk it out no matter what you face? Will you be bold against all odds? Will you be like David, Job, Joseph, Paul or Ester who went through difficult times yet found the strength to overcome? Just because things don’t seem to be working out like you thought, it doesn’t mean God has turned His back on you. Don’t fall into the negativity traps of the mind. Your faith is a necessary component to manifesting and healing. Choose your path wisely and choose to stand on the Word of God. You are more powerful than you think! There is always a time to mourn, to dance, to love, to care, and most importantly, a time to fulfill your destiny. Be an overcomer today! You are a child of the Most High!  Your confidence is not in your circumstances but in the Lord Almighty!

Hebrews 10:35-36 “Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.”

Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

1 Corinthians 2:3-5 “And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”

Cherish Your Mother

Mother’s are very special in God’s eyes and should be honored in all her ways. Whether your mother is with you, across the miles from you, or in heaven…remember them on this day and let them know just how special they truly are.

Matthew 15:4: “For God commanded, saying, ‘Honor your father and your mother…”

Proverbs 31:25-30: “Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.””

You Are More Than A Conqueror

Jesus shed His blood in seven different places to break every curse and redeem us to every blessing His blood activates. It is a time to remember exactly what Jesus did for each and every one of us. He paid the ultimate sacrifice. He broke every curse. He broke every addiction. He gave us dominion and authority.

  1. In the Garden of Gesthemane: He bought back our willpower and to redeem our will. (Matthew 26:39)
  2. At the Whipping Post: By His stripes we are healed. Every curse of sickness and disease was broken. (1Peter 2:24)
  3. Crown of Thorns: To break the curse of poverty. (Genesis 3:17-18)
  4. In His hands: To restore dominion to the works of our hands. (Deut. 28:12-13)
  5. In His feet: To give us authority everywhere we walk. (Joshua 1:3)
  6. In His side: His was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities and heals our broken hearts. (Luke 4:18)
  7. He stomped on the devil’s forehead and bruised His heel to break every family and generational curse. (Isaiah 53:5)

Take back your God-given blessings that Jesus gave you. When He said “IT IS FINISHED”, he didn’t mean it would be a hit or miss, pie-in-the-sky kind of faith. He returned us to the Father who is there for us every single moment of every day. He gave us everything we needed to make it through any trial, any difficulty, and any situation that comes against us that is contrary to the Word of God!

Take your stand against the enemy. You are more than conqueror through the Blood of Jesus. You are the head and not the tail, above and not below, you are the lender not the borrower. Take back what the devil has stolen and remind him that Jesus’ blood gives you complete victory.

Don’t let another day go by without thanking Jesus for His sacrifice and for the heavenly blessings He has bestowed towards you. Return unto Him and he’ll return unto you. Give and it shall be given to you. Know the seven places Jesus shed His blood and understand why God’s Word is Final! It is because of Jesus that you will have favor with Him and with man. Praise His Name above all others and watch the amazing blessings burst forth into your life.

Today is a new day. Activate the 7 places Jesus shed His blood and He will bring favor upon you. Let God stand in front of you and your family to make every curse pass over your home, business, health, family, and finances. Almighty God will open the windows of Heaven over you and your family which will release the blessings that Jesus’ blood provides. You are more than a conqueror through the Blood of Jesus Christ and today, your life will never be the same. Rejoice for the Lord is good – Your Victory Is At Hand!
