Keep Pushing

God is doing some mighty things in the world right now. However those of us who love the Lord, there seems to be a mighty battle for our minds, body and soul. We feel stagnant, disconnected and lost. Fear is trying to grip us. Disease and pain is attacking our bodies. Friends and family are leaving us. Things just seem to be going no where fast.

But I have a great word for you today. Keep pushing through to the other side.

For all those who feel like they have been living in a “prison” of some sort, do not give up. Now is the time to hold your ground. Renew your mind every time fear tries to take hold. Renew your mind every time something goes haywire. Find a scripture that you can recite all day if you have to…just DO NOT GIVE UP! Hold on and press through.

I’ve personally dealt with many battles in every area of life lately that has really tried putting depression and fear upon me; and trying to read God’s word has even become a major battle. Not that I don’t want to read but I seem to have a block that is keeping me from reading God’s word. This shall pass. However in the mean time, I have searched for “word” nuggets to help me get through the day, to renew my mind and hold steadfast to God’s word. It’s a way to keep my eyes focused and fill my soul while battling in our earthly realm.

The good news is that if you find yourself in some major battles then you are doing something right. It means that your adversary is seeing God’s mighty hand upon your life and he is doing everything he can to stop it. The devil is a liar. Don’t give him the victory. Stay the course, keep believing and hold onto your faith at all costs.

Here are just a few of those “word” nuggets to help you stand and keep pushing through to the other side. Just as Esther did at this time, she prayed and went against all things in the natural to get to the other side. She didn’t feel God. She felt disconnected but was willing to go against everything in the natural to experience God’s supernatural. And boy did God come through to save His people.

We are His people. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior then you are a child of the Most High God. You are His beloved and YOU WILL BE AN OVERCOMER!

Enjoy the nuggets below and allow them to renew your mind. Stand your ground, hold on and you will see God’s mighty hand breakthrough into your life.

Solid Rock

We sure can give the devil alot of air time. When anything happens that we don’t like, we quickly say the devil did it. The devil gave me a flat tire, the devil gave me the flu, the devil made that person treat me badly or walk away.

What if it was God who made it happen? Now I know what you must be thinking…
“God would never do such a thing.”
“God would never allow something bad to happen.”
“God would never allow someone to treat us wrong or walk away.”

But guess what, His word says He does.
Haggai 1:9 “You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why?” declares the Lord Almighty. “Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with your own house.”

God allows certain things to happen in our lives so we won’t blow it. It’s not to punish you or get back at you…it’s to protect you. If He allows us to depend on ourselves or others, we can easily get too attached to it and forget that He is our source.

He created us. He breathed life into us. He gave us our gifts. He gave us our professions. He gave us family. He gave us friends. He gave us the funds. He owns it all but He has freely given to us and we need to make sure we keep our eyes fixed on Him and not our things.

When God sees us building our house on sinking sand and not His strong foundation, He might step in to rattle our lives a bit to help us refocus and return to Him. He would rather see us go through a season of frustration than to build our lives on the wrong foundation. That’s how awesome and loving our Father is!

He wants each of us to be significant and sometimes the only way to do that is shake us up a bit to get us back onto the right path. Don’t let the would of, could of, should of, fixing too thoughts wane you from God. We all have plans in motion and the plan might be God’s plan for our lives. But if we take our focus off Him and start believing in ourselves, the plan, our works, our friends/family, our money or anything else more than God Himself, then you can definitely expect a shake up to come.

Don’t forget who is the plan master, the provider, the distributor and the opportunity maker. Build your house on His strong foundation; making Him your first priority every single day and in everything you do, then you don’t have to worry, stress or fear about what the day brings.

Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Your True Identity

So many of us look at the past and think that is who we are. Do you see yourself through the eyes of betrayal, hurt, rejection, mistakes and pain? If so, you will constantly strive for approval and perfection. That’s the world’s way, not Gods!

Your past does not define you. Wherever you grew up, whatever you did or whatever happened to you is the past and that’s where it needs to stay. Once you became a Child of the Most High, all of your sins and everything that happened in the past goes away. Your true identity lies in Jesus and who He is.

Now when you start seeing Jesus and all of His beautiful attributes, the devil is going to bring up everything in the past to try and make you feel guilty, shameful, hurt, angry and everything else he can try to persuade you that you aren’t worthy. But the devil is a liar!!!

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come.” 2 Cor. 5:17

You are a new creature in Christ. His strength, power, love, kindness, freedom, holiness, and righteousness became you. You are a child of the Most High. The one and only true God! You are born again by the Holy Spirit (John 3:3-6). You are saved by grace as a gift, not because of your performance (Ephesians 2:8).

The right to your new life is a gift from God Almighty! You are the light of the world (Matt. 5:14), you will shine like stars in the sky (Philippians 2:15), you are the salt of the earth (Matt. 5:13), you are a vessel of God’s divine light (2Cor 4:6).

That is your identity. Jesus died to give us life and life more abundantly, to make us the head and not the tail, above and not below, to be more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Embrace the new you. You are royalty, an heir to the throne, and God’s loving arms are wrapped around you everywhere you go. You are an amazing person. Don’t look back, continuously look forward. God’s grace, love, power, strength, provision and healing power is upon you. Be the light in this dark world and remind the devil that he is a liar. You are special, loved and highly-favored by God Almighty.
